So, who went to dinner on the diamond? I would love to go someday but I am 8 hours away.

For those who have gone/went to dinner on the diamond... feel free to tell any stories, share pictures or vent about the picnic.

I hope not, I think it was about $100. Anyone know?

sooooo..... I have gone a couple of times.... The best was when I went in 2003 when we still had JP, D-lee, and Lowell. The guys on the team used to be so nice. Now not so much. A little story! I won a josh beckett autographed full unused world series ticket sheet at the 2005 dinner on the diamond and that little sh*t of a troll came down and wrote Mr Lorias name down when the bidding had ended. We got into a little altercation and the head of the foundation came over where Mr. Samson decided to say that Mr. Loria was willing to pay whatever was neccessary. Needless to say they gave me the item and told Mr Samson they would make Mr Loria a new one. This is after Samson claimed "it's not like Mr Loria can get any autograph he wants!". The Marlins treat there fans like sh*t.

It's in that area per person. All the $$$ goes to the Community Foundation. We don't bother with it. We donate to the CF in different ways.

I've been several times, but not this year.

In 2003, it rained and everything was in the Hall of Champions. I got Beckett's auto, plus DTrain - a big get since he had just been called up like two weeks before DotD.

I was on the field a few years before that - they keep you in the outfield area. It's neat to walk the perimeter of the warning track and get a pic by the 434 sign. Met CJ/Rhonda & Damian Easley - he was so happy to be out of the Detroit cold.

The food is meh - you go for the experience.

We've (AdrianneLove and I) do the fantasy auction instead.

Does anyone actually know the price? Wasn't last year's version $400 a person?
