Pretty happy with my team. I think they have the potential to put up huge numbers. Gotta wager that I'll make the playoffs.

Why did you guys draft punters?

Beats me but the scoring system on them is wack... about 3 punters have 170+ points, the next 7 have like 100-120, and then the rest have sub 90, so if you didn't get a good punter it really could determine the outcome of your team... sadly.

thankfully I got Sam Koch, one of two punters who I actually know

Yeah, I should probably fix that. I only put it because one or two people in our league said it would be cool if we had punters.

It is cool to have punters I guess, it's just the scoring on them is outa wack. You should find a way to make them a bonus only.

I dunno if you can change stats anymore, but if you can, make it so that punters cannot get negative points, though only get points for really good stuff (like pinned inside 20).

I lowered all of the points. They can still get a small amount of negative points, but that's only if they do VERY bad. And even if they do the worst possible, they would still only lose one point. Punters will still be a bonus no matter what.

I won... but why the heck are TD's only valued at 4? This terribly offsets the value of a team defense. Team D's are capable of putting up 30-40 every week with a good D because of these settings, however Drew Brees throws 6 TD's (unheard of) and gets barely any points (36)? That's not right.

1-0 despite a paltry 70 point total. Bad games for the likes of LJ and Andre Johnson but thankfully I still managed to grind out a victory.

2nd most point in the week is "barely any" now? Of the top 5 point getters, 3 were offensive, 2 were defensive. Of the top 10, it was split evenly. Of the top 20, 11 out of 20 players were offensive. Only one defense made it above 30 point, only 5 above 20.

That is right.

That is right? Maybe you could consider Drew Brees should have had 48 points, not 36? He put up the numbers to be worthy of 48 points in any regular league, an amount unheard of. That comes about once a season. Defensive units should never be in the top 10 unless it's a really bad week. 20 points for a defense should be amazing. It's why you dont draft them until the later rounds. "Only 5 above 20" is riduculous. Each team had about 1 or 2 players getting over 20, let alone 15. This isn't even a PPR league. Maybe if it were you could have an argument.

Anything above 30 points for a singal player is an absolutely phenomenal number that no player puts up on a regular basis. 20 points or more is something that a very good but usual WR or RB gets in a PPR league. Without PPR, 20 points is phenomenal.

The league we are in has unbalanced the value of TD's versus defense, plain and simple. It's not a case of "you are not happy enough with 36?". It's a case of... Drew Brees put up 48 points. Not 36.

If a QB throws 6 TDs he deserves 36 points in fantasy, not 24.

Yeah, Brees got me 48, in my league. The only defensive unit with a significant amount of points in my league this week was the Eagles (35) b/c of the sacks and all the turnovers they created. Plus, DeSean Jackson had a TD on a punt return, as well. But those performances are rare, and you're right...it's the reason defenses are a bit overrated in fantasy.

The defense is a case of ESPN making defenses too valuable, not the commish of our league. In all of the other leagues a defense is limited and on a phenomenal night with a shutout they could get up towards 28 points with tons of interceptions and sacks. It's mainly because ESPN includes the ST in defense.

But Drew Brees in any normal league for scoring puts up nearly 50 points with those numbers. Not 36.

That's not just ESPN. I think that's the case in all leagues. What I like about my league this year, is that the player also gets credit for his kick/punt return TD's along with the defense. The league I was in last year on CBS only gave points to the defense/ST when the individual player returned one for a TD.

That's certainly not the case with Yahoo. It's just defense.

Anyways, what you lised would be my favor. Any return yards, return fumbles, or return TDs should go to the credit of the player.

Fasano's fumbling ass gave me -5 points he's lucky Vincent Jackson got the TD in his game and I ended up winning or he would have gotten a very strongly written letter coming his way.

I'm actually taking this league a little bit more serious this year. I'm taking out Kevin Smith this week (facing the Vikings) and starting Tim Hightower (against the Jags).

But they don't have Pat and Kevin Williams.

Big dilemna for me whether I go with Admin Johnson against the Giants or Mendenhall against the Chargers as it seems he will be taking over from the injuried Willie Parker this week.

Isn't there a chance that Mendenhall might sit out again since he doesn't know the playbook?

I'm having the same "dilemma" in my league. I want to start him at flex this week, but I don't know how many touches he'll get...

Injury report for my MB league team.

It is unfortunate that I have so many injuries, though I am still fortunate that nobody is truly out to this point.

Derrick Ward - Q

LenDale White - P

Cadillac Williams - P

(isn't that spectacular? top 2 RB picks injured)

Dwayne Bowe - Q

Derrick Mason - Q

Greg Jennings - P

(isn't that spectacular? top 3 WR picks all injured)

Anyways... I have a surplus of WRs... would anyone like to make a swap? WRs for RBs?

My WRs..

Greg Jennings

Dwayne Bowe

Derick Mason

Kevin Walter

Devery Henderson

Isaac Bruce

Nate Burleson

All in my opinion are worthy starters/4th spot WRs, I'm willing to part with 2 or 3 of them and an RB for a better RB.

Is Admin Johnson ever going to NOT be a fantasy football tease? Always 'projected' to play well and never does.

I had him back in the glory days of 2006 when he was a machine.

Regarding a trade - I would be interested in either Jennings or Walter. I would be willing to part with Santana Moss and a RB. Have a look at my team and see if you are interested by anyone (not gonna trade Barber tho).

I definitely have an interest in Jennings as well. Take a look at Tebow and see if there is anyone to your liking.

For those with interest - take it for what it's worth. I'm 4-0, and in no current rush to trade him. If you want to make offers, go right ahead. Just remember though, a running back. And a starting one at that.

I think it is wrong that several of the league scoring categories have just been changed. Wait until the end of the year to change these sort of things as doing it midway through the season has a huge effect on most players teams. Namely categories such as now not getting any points whatsoever for extra points for the kickers. Part of the reason you choose a kicker some weeks is because they play a weak defense and so should score lots of fantasy points through a combination of FG and XP.
