Underrated places.....

Denny's sucks and it has rats! Ew.

The times I was there their food looked so greasy and fettening. Ugh, disgusting.

I'm guessing you don't eat much fast food?

My diet doesn't allow it. ;)

:)

I eat BK like once or twice a month but i'm pretty addicted to Subway. I tend to have it at least once a week.

Subway is great! So many choices and the food is much healthier.

I pretty much have Subway 3/4 times a week and that's my dinner.

So true, i always get a different kind when I go.

I just had a meatball marinara for lunch.

I've had subway for lunch for the past 3 days now.

Some people probably don't want to hear this but if you talk to enough people who have worked in the food preparation business and you will find that rat infestation is more prominent than you would imagine. In other words, this is probably not a problem you can peg entirely on Denny's. All of these places have dumpsters and rats love that. Sometimes they find their way inside.

I'm not saying that this is something that you should just "deal with" but I don't think it's wise to right off an entire franchise because one local one in particular had problems.

My first job was washing dishes in a relatively nice Japanese restaurant and obviously soap was never used and whenever I used hot water I would get reprimanded.

Walmart and Target are underrated.

Meatball Marinara = a lot of calories. In fact, a footlong lunchmeat sub plus mayo + cheese can be 800-1000 calories at Subway, depending on the bread you choose. Last I checked a BigMac was under 600. Just some......wait for it.......food........for thought.

I think Subway's healthiness is highly OVERrated. I eat less calories at TacoBell for dinner, to be quite honest. Maybe the quality of food is better at Subway (although there meat is supposedly low grade [duh]), but calories have to be a large consideration, no?

I think First Watch is an underrated brunch-ish restaurant. Excellent food and service when I've gone, yet Original Pancake House (probably the closest comparable I know of) seems to be universally lauded. I like both, but I lean toward First Watch.

While I generally agree with you, it's also about what's in the calories. I don't eat subway but when I make a meatball sub, I get a lot fuller calorie for calorie than I do when I eat at taco bell.

Underrated: Publix Pizza. Cook it for 40 minutes until the cheese is completely black. Enjoy like never before.

Well it can but that's the sub I get the least, and I had it for the 1st time on saturday.

I usually get chicken or chicken teryaki and if not then ham/turkey and cheese with a lot of veggies.

P.S. I never get mayo on my subs either.
