NO ERRORS THIS YEAR IN LEFT FIELD! ONE OVERALL!

omg pleeeeeeeeeeeease start trolling/cursing/etc.

so you are going with a smaller sample size rather then 3-4 years worth of sample size? good job!!!

errors and assists FTW

Also funny that he accuses Fish Dynasty of saying that Hermida can only hit RHP (thus to him, he is a platoon player)...yet for Maybin his argument is..."he hits lefties better than Hermida." Mind you, there are more righties in the big leagues than there are lefties.

The only reason to hate Hermida (at least that I can think of) is to possibly say that he hasn't played up to his salary.

Says the guy who said we should consider putting Christian Martinez in the rotation, if he continues to pitch well? After like...2 or 3 relief appearances?

maybin is also able to hit righties. he isnt a one dimensional hitter. so its basically losing maybe a little against rhp, while gaining success against lhp and being better in the field with maybin in center and cody in right.

the reason to hate hermida, well at least mine, is that he is a bad fielder, and is a platoon player being forced to make me watch him play everyday.

if the rotation continues to be awful, then what could it hurt.

Hermida is one of our BEST hitters against RHP. We won't be losing a little bit against RHP. Heck, we might be losing more against RHP, than we would gain against LHP. Maybin only .OPS'd .577 against LHP, in his time up here this year. Only 34 PA's, but if Hermida does that in 34 PA's, we all know the majority of the board would be hating on him for it.

I'm just saying you're going by a smaller sample size, just like you're accusing mystikol of doing.

and he also is our worst against lhp. which makes him just what i said, a platoon player in the al if you include his fielding.

maybin has been good against both, granted in aaa, but what else do we have to judge him on?

that situation is comletely different. hermida has been awful at fielding his entire career and this year he he hasnt made as many errors, which one is going to be the outlier?

martinez is st someone who i am suggesting that we give a chance to. he back end of our rotation has been horrible and he haseen great starting in aa, and has shown that he has good stuff up here.

His month+ in the big leagues.

The only way he starts everyday in September is if the Marlins fall out of the race. As it is now, there is a month+ left and we're 4 games out of the Wildcard. Maybe a platoon occurs, comes September. Hermida v. RHP/ Maybin v. LHP.

Perhaps he did great there b/c he's 27? Ever think of that?

Hermida, "the bust," isn't even 27, yet.

Martinez was a man playing against boys. He should be able to dominate AA.

For the record, Hermida was (gasp) 7th in Fielding Percentage for all RFers who played 100 games or more in 2008.

Yikes, could it be possible that he's improved? And that's aside from the fact of errors and assists ftw

so we should judge him on a month in the big leagues rather then where he has improved greatly on his contact and k'ing less and bbing more? great plan

we are not making the playoffs regardless imo

So we should judge Hermida's defense on his first couple of years, when it's clear he's improved since then? So we should totally ignore how good Hermida has been against right-handed pitching AT THIS LEVEL THIS YEAR? Comprende the hypocrisy going on here?

And you're not the only one who thinks this isn't a playoff team. That doesn't mean that this team isn't in contention for a playoff spot.

H2r09, you do realize that Hermida is having a better year than Jorge Cantu, right? So, if Hermida and his "bad" defense needs to be replaced( and it's funny because you want to replace him when he's on fire), then Jorge Cantu and his TERRIBLE defense should be replaced as well.

What I'm saying is, give up. We know why you want to replace him. It's getting annoying hearing you talk about Hermida when you have nothing to back up your statemants.
