Florida Drivers License Test

Featured Replies

I turned 15 today and I am going to take the learners permit test online. I know all of the road signs, they aren't hard at all. But the road rules... they are just crazy. I have probably read that booklet about 5 times and I can still not remember all of the things in there. Any tips? Also my mom is pretty strict about me not using the book when I am taking it.

When i took the test 6 yrs ago it wasn't that diffcult so im pretty sure it still isn't. And if you want to use the book, do the test when your mom not home?

My mom is going to watch me do it. And I have learned the "important" rules. Here is an example of a practice question I got

It is illegal to park within 15 feet of a rural mailbox between ___ and ___ (time)

I really need to know that living in Fort Lauderdale...

there are some really rural areas not too far from ft. lauderdale...read the book.

i thought all you had to do was take an online class and pass the written test to get a learners permit...that's all i had to do.

I'm 16, and I'm still taking the online class before taking the test for my permit :p

anyway shouldn't be that hard.

and furcalchick, that is exactly what it is, although they recommend you read the DMV book (which is what I already did)(.

The signs are cake, the rules are really, really hard. I failed the first time I took it and barely squeaked by the second time. What's funny (and somewhat sad) is how the permit test is 10x harder than the actual driving test you take to get your license.

Honestly... it's not that hard of stuff. If your mom is monitoring you... I hate to be harsh but tough crap lol. You really only have one option if you want to get your license.

damn those sound hard. took my permit test like 2 years ago in PA and most of them were common sense question except for like 2 which i got wrong. i only read through the dmv packet once and took an online practice quiz once the day before the permit test. does anyone else think that people exaggerate on the difficulty of parallel parking when it comes to taking the actual drivers test?

I never read the DMV book, I took the test only once and passed it....I guess I had a good knowledge of the rules or something.

I've passed the learners permit test 3 times. it's not that hard. (one for myself, other two because I was paid to do it online for two other people lol)

And if you want to use the book' date=' do the test when your mom not home?[/quote']same time i took it, and back then i dont think you could do it online.  its important to learn regardless, you'll probably feel more comfortable on the road if you actually know the rules.  but its really easy too, i think if you get 70% of questions correct you pass. so maybe you dont have to remember the rules about parking on a hill lol

The test is SUPER easy.

You shouldn't have a problem.

You might think you don't remember the rules, but it would all come to you as you're doing it.

Or at least that's what happened to me.

I thought I was going to fail for sure, but I passed it without any problems.

I remembered everything.

I'm getting my permit in a few days but isn't all you need is to pass the Drug and Alcohol online?

That's what all my friends have been telling me.

Alright, got 20/20 on the signs and 14/20 on the road rules the first time. So I failed it :( I should of passed, but there were really obscure rules I missed. And all I needed was 15 to pass.

Retook it today and I didnt have to retake the signs part which was nice. And got 19/20 on the road rules the second time around. Now I have to wait until they mail me a certificate and I have to go down to the DMV and wait in line for a couple of hours to get my picture taken. Also, they can randomly test you to make sure you parents didn't help you. My mom will have to sign an affadavit saying I didn't cheat. Serious stuff :D

I took that test online 4 years ago and it was sooo easy. Actually I think I cheated, so tough luck man. I didn't even read the book though my cousin had all the answers from a drivers ed class he took, and I just picked them off as I went along.
