Secondly, Clay Hensley has always had great AAA numbers, including the last two years, but he hasn't been able to cut it in the bigs in that time. Pointing him out as a savior is extremely shortsighted.

This actually isn't nearly as important as it was a month ago. With expanded rosters, we now have Wood, Sanches, and Badenhop to pitch in long relief. And Volstad and Miller should be up in a few days. Quality innings are much more important, wherever it is that they may come from.

no, its still pretty important to get innings, even if it is 4 runs in 6 or 7 innings or something like that. it is extremely important as it gives chances for guys like hopper and sanches to pitch in more important situations. also, we arent even getting quality innings or long strt right now, so any type of innings right now would be huge
