October 22, 200916 yr i see the future being 1b- morrison 2b- cogs lf- pete/cousins cf- maybin rf- stanton
October 22, 200916 yr 10/22 We (Mesa) lost 11-1 Stanton: 3-4, CS Dominguez: 0-4, K Peterson: DNP On a side note, I think you may be interested in Strasburg's line for the day... Strasburg: 2.2 IP, 7H, 8 R (7 ER), 1 BB, 3 HR allowed
October 23, 200916 yr 10/22 We (Mesa) lost 11-1 Stanton: 3-4, CS Dominguez: 0-4, K Peterson: DNP On a side note, I think you may be interested in Strasburg's line for the day... Strasburg: 2.2 IP, 7H, 8 R (7 ER), 1 BB, 3 HR allowed Damn...........
October 24, 200916 yr 10/23 Peterson: 2-4, 2R, BB Stanton & Dominguez: DNP Miller: 2.2 IP, 3H, 2ER, 2BB, 3K's, 1HR allowed Parcell: 0.2 IP, 4H, 5ER, 2HR's allowed (18.90 ERA so far in the AFL)
October 25, 200916 yr 10/24 Peterson: 1-5, 2K's Dominguez: 0-5 Burns (RF): 0-1. 3 BB's, 1K Stanton: DNP... again I didn't hear anything about Stanton being hurt, so I wonder why he didn't play 2 games in a row.
October 25, 200916 yr Author I wonder if moving Dominguez up to AA was a mistake. He was obliterating A+ his last 2 months. The move is fine. Just let him stay the whole year in AA.
October 25, 200916 yr Mike Stanton leads the Arizona Fall Leagues in batting average hitting .478. This isn't about the AFL but Nic Ungs of the Florida Marlins, playing in the Carribean Leagues, went 5 innings allowing one hit and one run with 2k and 3BB for Los Bravos de Margarita.
October 27, 200916 yr a couple photos from this past saturday - a little disapointing to not see stanton or any of the pitchers overall a pretty average performance by most of the prospets ... nothing like watching hanson pitch last year here is a photo of burns at the plate, peterson and burns coming off the field after communicating on a fly ball, they were slapping gloves and joking and one of me messing around with the flags above the batters eye (trying to figure out this whole new camera thing) been super busy, but if you are interested I could post more when I get time i think I have crappy video of burns stolen base as well - they were letting them run out there, that's for sure
October 28, 200916 yr 10/27 Dominguez: 0-4, 3Ks (UGH) Burns: 2-4, 1R, 2Ks Also Strasburg: 4.1 IP, 1H, 1ER, 2 BBs, 5Ks
October 29, 200916 yr 10/28 Peterson: 2-5, HR (2), 2RBIs, 2Rs, SB (1) He was the only Fish to play today as Mesa routed Scottsdale 12-5
October 29, 200916 yr 10/29 Peterson: 1-3, BB Miller: 4.2IP, 3H, 1ER, 1BB, 4Ks Looks like Miller's control greatly improved. Hopefully he can keep his control and his delivery, which has been the main reason he is in the AFL right now.
October 30, 200916 yr Peterson has looked great. Anyone else thinks he will be our starting LF next season? Or is it a better choice to send him to AAA?
November 2, 200916 yr 10/30 Dominguez: 1-5, R Burns: 1-3, 2 BB's Peterson: DNP This game ended in a 5-5 tie after the 11th inning. I guess pitchers are on a tight schedule in the AFL so they can't go too deep into extras.
November 2, 200916 yr 10/31 Peterson: 1-5 Burns: 0-3, RBI, BB Dominguez: DNP Burns also got an outfield assist for throwing a runner out at home. Thats always good to see. But Mesa lost 4-3.
November 3, 200916 yr Author Peterson has looked great. Anyone else thinks he will be our starting LF next season? Or is it a better choice to send him to AAA? AAA For at least 2 months. Like Coghlan. I see them letting Carroll, Bonifacio, and some as yet discovered veteran, to man LF a bit. It's never bad to let a guy see AAA pitching for 50 games, with the bonus of delaying his service clock.
November 3, 200916 yr A quick note: Bryan Peterson has gotten at least one hit in every game so far in the AFL
November 5, 200916 yr 11/3 Dominguez: 0-3 Burns: 1-2, BB Parcell: 1 IP, 1H, 2K 11/4 Peterson*: 0-5, R, Dominguez: 1-4, HR, R, 2RBI, BB, K Voss: 2IP, 2H, 3K Buente: IP, K *Peterson ended his hit streak.
November 6, 200916 yr I've been saying this for a while, but I really like what peterson brings to the table for the future. His stats kind of remind me of a little bit more power a little less speed Scott Podsednik.
November 7, 200916 yr 11/5 No Marlins played today 11/6 Peterson: 3-6, RBI Dominguez: 2-3, 4 RBIs, 2 Runs, BB Burns: 2-4, R, BB This was a great day for all Marlins hitters as Mesa won in an 11-1 rout
November 7, 200916 yr Also, Andrew Miller hasn't pitched since October 29th and he isn't in the Rising Stars game tonight. I wonder if he is ok... Speaking of the Rising Stars game, Peterson and Dominguez are playing tonight. The game will be on MLB Network.
