Can you show me specifically where in the link that is proven? That HE made the material and that the material prmotes sexual acitvities, pedophilia, and prostution to children?

Those are, for the most part, books written by gay men detailing their lives. The program seems to have been developed in order to make young gay and lesbian teenagers realize they aren't alone in their lives and to maybe make the other kids not look at them as freaks, something that is pretty much the norm in high schools.

 

Here are some of the explanations of the "horrifying" excerpts that apparently make Orlando Rays vomit:

(A gay priest recalls a life-changing incident at the age of ten, when he “felt my penis begin to harden� after meeting a new friend, after which the author “touched the flesh of his cock.�)

 

Most of the excerpts on that website are from one book, the autobiography of the openly gay high school student who made it in the news in the 80's when he wasn't allowed to bring his boyfriend to prom. Others are from similar books like that, and most of them are in the same vein. I don't think from what I've read that any of this has been forced on anyone in any school, so the "indoctrinating our youth" argument is complete bulls***.

 

Is it the mere fact that they deal with homosexuality that makes them the work of perverts? We read some sexually explicit stuff in high school that deal with straight sex in some ways, and it wasn't a big deal I really think the only way you can make this out to be the work of perverts is if you work under the assumption that just dealing with homosexuality puts them in the realm of perversion.

Yet, in 2001, GLSEN continued to hand out fisting kits to children and teachers at its conferences.

 

Just because some people use controversies like this to push hateful agendas doesn't make everyone who thinks alike a hatemonger. The fact of the matter is, this happened under Kevin Jennings' watch, with his full knowledge.

 

This is not the person who should be in charge of government initiatives involving schools.

This whole thing is just another smear campaign along the lines of the ones that were orchestrated on Van Jones and another woman to cover the fact that they don't like a gay guy having a position like this. Well, they need to get used to it.
