If Stoudamire goes to Cleveland, is Bosh good enough to keep Wade here? If not him then who else could the Riley bring in? MGrady?

bosh is a better player than amare. if the heat sign him in the offseason i'm sure that wade is a lock to stay.

I was just about to say, Bosh is a hell of a lot better player than Amar'e is. He's younger, better scorer, better rebounder, better overall shooter, and less injury prone. He's better than Amar'e in just about every way right now. Bosh and Wade would secure us as one of the top 2 teams in the East for the next few years.

However, there is a huge amount of risk on waiting it out and hoping for Bosh to sign with us, because if he doesn't, and a lot of other top guys sign somewhere else, we may see Wade leave and this team could be set back many years.

That's why trading for Amar'e is the safe way to go. It's not the better move, just less risk involved.

But why wouldn't they at least make a push for Bosh at the deadline? It isn't the time of acquiring the player that I'm questioning, it's which player to trade for.

Raptors aren't as desperate to get rid of Bosh. We simply don't have the players to pry Bosh away from the Raptors right now.

How do we have the players to get Amare but not Bosh?

The Heat are the last team standing and Amare's agent said he will be traded befor the deadline...so that makes him a heat? :D

Jamison to the Cavs?: http://www.realgm.co.../#ixzz0fq5llLl1

So this means Amare's not going there if true?

Its on ESPN.com now so it must be true: http://sports.espn.g...tory?id=4922833

i honestly think that jamison is going to be a better fit in cleveland than amare would have. jamison is fine with being the 2nd or 3rd option on the team on a given night and he'll spread the floor. also he's a better defender and rebounder than amare even though he's shorter. i like this deal for the cavs ALOT.

The thing that I have never liked about attaining Jamison is his age and plays the same position as Beasley. But this is a great deal for the Cavs and great for us aswell. Making Amare almost guarantee to be a Heat.

Toronto does not have Bosh in the trading block.

Bingo. In normal circumstances, the 4 (bench) players we are offering isn't enough to get Amar'e. However, with the Suns fearing they aren't going to receive anything when Amar'e leaves in free agency anyway, they will take anything they can get. (the first round pick added certainly helps)

Toronto is still holding onto hope it can resign Bosh after the year. The same cannot be said for Phoenix regarding Amar'e.

There's your difference.

Yeah, I forgot Bosh would just have been available as a free agent in the off season.

I think you mean Heatian?:lol

Not necessarily, but it pretty it extremely rises the chance for the Heat to get either Bosh or Amare which is great.

Apparently, the only thing that is now holding up the deal is that the Suns are adament that they now want both of the Heat's first round picks. The Heat don't want to give up both, and there is a stalemate going on right now.

My opinion, I'm not giving up two first round picks.

I honestly do not want to make a deal with the Suns this season for Amare especially since it would most likely be a one year rental, pending on if Bosh is willing to go back to Toronto, and then trade guys who we'd be able to keep and could be valuable in the future like Cook and Chalmers(we'd also definitely be able to resign one of Wright or Richardson for a good 4 to 6 MM a year)along with 2 1st round picks where one pick most likely next seasons could be for a solid player, for Amare. In a Heat fans realistic dreams we wait out the rest of the season without losing any key players, get the 6th 7th or 8th playoff spot, playout the playoffs most likely a 1st round loss, then get a solid player in the draft most likely from 11-17th pick, then sign Bosh when he leaves Toronto to a max contract, if anything then sign Amare to a big contract then after getting one of those big name players resign Wade to a long term deal. When that's said and done you try to resign either J.O., Q Rich or another starter quality PF, SF maybe resign Haslem if we don't lose him and resign Cook and Wright.

Then we could have a solid lineup with

Chalmers

Wade

Beasley or another FA SF

J.O., Beasley, Haslem or FA PF

Amare or Bosh

Bench

Cook

Wright

FA or Haslem

Anthony

Draft Pick

Signed Bench Player

Signed Bench Player

Good chance to be a top 4 team in the east and get to at least the Conference Finals.

Bosh said last year that he has no intention of staying in Toronto. Why would he want to play for a mediocre team where people rarely hear about him?

If the reason why we aren't going after Bosh is because the Raptors won't let him go, then Toronto is making a big mistake.

bulls trade salmons in a move to shed more money for next seasons free agent class. the bulls have an advantage... if im a big name free agent i want to play with rose. the kid is amazing and turning in to a super mega star.

i wouldn't call him a super mega star just yet. alot of players put up numbers like him on a .500 team. although i do think he'll develop into a really good player and the bulls future looks really bright with rose, deng, noah, and a big free agent signing in the offseason.

That was reported by one of espn analyst. But never was recorded coming out of Bosh mouth.

The thing that Bosh has said is he is very content in Toronto and loves being their franchise player. Now, I don't know how long he is going to keep thinking that way if their team doesn't improve or is unable to get any marquee free agent. Spacially when seing LJ and Wade improving their team.

He knows his team won't be better than Lebron's now that they got Jamison, so might aswell join Wade.

Celtics get Robinson, Cavs get Jamison, Bobcats get Thomas, Knicks get Mcgrady, Rockets get Martin, Kings get Landry.

Orlando didn't do anything. I'm dissapointed.

Well... we can't sweat it. I'm confident Riley will make this team a contender in the offseason.

The Boozer rumor made no sense for us.

Let's look at the brightside. We get to keep both our 1st round picks, and we now become one of only three teams with a truely realistic chance at Bosh (Knicks and Raptors the other two).

So we lose the safe bet that would've been Amar'e. Now its time for the risky, SUPER high risk, high reward moment.

I have already named this offseason for the Heat

Bosh or Bust

There are other big named free agents, but I think our best chance at being a contender is to get Bosh this offseason (Lebron is out of the question).

And I believe the Boozer rumors came up because of our interest in him for the last two years, and the fact he likes Miami and lives here in the offseason.
