February 12, 201016 yr Whether or not wade stays or goes is decided if they make a move now or early FA.
February 14, 201016 yr Mavs trade Gooden, Howard, Ross and Singleton to the Wizards for Haywood, Stevenson and Butler.
February 14, 201016 yr Mavs trade Gooden, Howard, Ross and Singleton to the Wizards for Haywood, Stevenson and Butler. solid trade. haywood has been having a really good season and they'll have a nice rotation of dampier/haywood at the center position. they needed to make a move to mix things up since they've been struggling mightily.
February 14, 201016 yr Mavs trade Gooden, Howard, Ross and Singleton to the Wizards for Haywood, Stevenson and Butler. Damn so what happens now with the starting 5? You don't bench a guy like Butler but Shawn Marion is an asset. Kidd Butler Marion Dirk Dampier Bench Terry Haywood Barea Stevenson Thomas That's a pretty damn solid team to finish a season off with.
February 14, 201016 yr I think Haywood wil start over Dampier. That is a nice team, though. Denver and LA now has some competition
February 14, 201016 yr I think Haywood wil start over Dampier. That is a nice team, though. Denver and LA now has some competition haywood will start because dampier is injured. and if he performs well then dampier will be on the bench when he returns. but they'll definitely split time at the 5.

Kidd Butler Marion Dirk Dampier Bench Terry Haywood Barea Stevenson Thomas That's a pretty damn solid team to finish a season off with. it's a good team but they already have a caron-type on player on their team (marion). i think this deal was more about getting haywood and his post defense. i still think they're the 3rd best team in the west behind lakers and spurs
February 14, 201016 yr http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4913305 the cavs are working on a deal that would send illgauskas and hickson to phoenix for stoudamire. i think this is a huge mistake. shaq and stoudamire frontcourt didn't work in phoenix so why do they think it'll work in cleveland where they don't like to clog the lane so that lebron can drive. they should be going after jamison or troy murphy because they can spread the floor and hit the 3 (anthony parker is not the ideal 3 point threat).
February 15, 201016 yr What's a Caron type player? Marion and Butler are pretty much two different kinds of players and at the moment Butler is the better of the two. P.S. they can be the 3rd best team Behind L.A., Denver then they have the Spurs trailing behind them with there ageless wonder of a team.

They don't give a rats ass is the Shaq/Amare tandom will work all they care about is giving LeBron a superstar to play with. Amare won't clog the lan either because he's a high post type player that will work his way down low if he has his man beat. I agree with the Anthony Parker thing, he needs to grab some bench and they should start Delonte West with his mental condition or not. Williams West James Stoudamire O'Neal That's a cahmpionship winning starting 5 and Varejo, Parker, Moon, Gobson could provide great spark of the bench, so could Powe whenever the hell he comes back. I'd be scared to face the Cavs if they made that trade.
February 16, 201016 yr If the Cavs get Stoudamire, isn't that gonna put them way over the cap? I'm guessing either him or Shaq is gone after this season.
February 16, 201016 yr Im sure Shaq is getting ready to retire eventually... the dude's 38. I;m sure he just wants one last title. Luckily enough he's on a pretty damn good team to do it.
February 17, 201016 yr BREAKING NEWS: Heat have offered Suns Chalmers, Wright, Cook, Richardson and Raptors 1st round pick for Amar'e. The Heat tried to get Charlotte as the 3rd team to get an Amar'e deal done, but they said no. Also, seems as if Cavs are EXTREMELY interested in JJ Hickson, so much so that they are even willing to take a less appealing (overall) offer of Illgauskas and Hickson because they want him so badly. However, the Cavs may be impatient soon and eventually settle on a deal that would net them Jamison from the Wizards.

Hickson has good potential, but they could grab somone like Monroe with the pick who could be better than Hickson alone. They would also have some decent role players in Chalmers and Cook under contract next season. From Miami's point of view, they're not giving up that much, but we better be 100% sure that Amare stays in Miami longer than just a couple of months.

When you say "all of that", we're really just talking about a bunch of off-the-bench players. None of the players we would be giving up are even worth a fraction of what Amare is worth.

I don't think Dorrell Wright has ever been given a fair shot, here. As a matter of fact, he should start over Richardson. Also, I'd say it's a little premature to call Chalmers a bench player. He's struggled this year, but he was good last year in his rookie year. Not to mention, the 1st round pick from Toronto which would be a decent 1st round pick (slot), in the upcoming draft. What the Heat are giving up is a lot more than what the Cavs would be giving up. Is Hickson really that good? Seems like they're overrating him quite a bit.

I stated in my previous post that that Miami's deal is better, but that wasn't my point. The quantity isn't what makes it a great deal. Heck, you can throw in those four as well as Magloire, Diawara, and Anthony and it still wouldn't make that much of a difference. Sure, they can contribute, but would any of those guys be a starter on most NBA teams? I'd bet you that a majority of those players wouldn't be on the Heat next season regardless. If we could somehow get Amare without giving up Beasley, and be 100% sure that he will stay with the Heat in the future, then it would be a steal.
February 17, 201016 yr If we could somehow get Amare without giving up Beasley, and be 100% sure that he will stay with the Heat in the future, then it would be a steal. I agree. I'll miss Cahlmers and Cook though. Lebron makes the other players on his team look way better than they are. Those 2 guys wouldn't be starters anywhere else. Man, the suspense is killing me. I hope they don't wait until tomorrow. I'm off work today.
February 17, 201016 yr You guys are crazy if you think D-Wade is coming back after this season.... I see wade going to a team that can at least contend for a championship... The Heat isn't that team.
February 17, 201016 yr For those wondering if Amar'e would re-sign in Miami if acquired: Stoudemire is a Florida native. His family, specifically ones he's close to, reside in Florida still. The Heat would be about as close to home as it gets, as I don't see Orlando making a move for him.

Not a Heat fan, but this is a very dumb thing to say. Why would D wade leave Miami? They can offer him the most money, and sign another top talent to pair with him. The Heat do not look like contenders now, but they will next season. Especially if they keep Beasley.
