Posted March 23, 201015 yr Has anyone ever got the package on the internet offered thru MLB where you can get all games? As you can probably reason from my username I don't get to watch very many Marlins games a year. And this year I'm seriously considering buying this package. Was wondering what others experiences with it were like. Plus I have an iPhone, so I can listen/watch games when I'm not at home or by a computer.

It's a very good program, expecially if you are out of the area, cause your not subject to local blackout restrictions unless they are visiting near you (such as, in your case, if your in the area for the Kansas City Royals they would be blacked out when they face them).
March 23, 201015 yr It's a good product. It's improved considerably over the past five years. On the plus side, you get nearly universal access to games and have the option of choosing the home or away feed. It's also much cheaper than MLB Extra Innings. On the negative side, you do occassionally run into some lag issues. My biggest complaint and I suggest this as something to watch out for, is that MLB is really sneaky when it comes to auto-renewal. Expect to be renewed for the 2011 season automatically unless you active cancel it. If you subscribe through monthly payments, expect them to continue to charge you the same rate during the offseason because they grant you the "privelege" of accessing the archive of previous games. I think MLB Extra Innings is the best service if you anticipate being able to watch most of the games in front of your own TV. If you want to watch games on the fly, MLB TV is a good service. Just monitor your credit card activity closely to make sure MLB isn't trying to pull one over on you.
March 23, 201015 yr I have subscribed to MLB.tv for the past 4 years and love it. Usually I have just gotten the regular package but this year I'm gonna get the premium deal as I get sick of the opposing teams commentators on the road games.
March 23, 201015 yr I have used it the last 5 years being that I live in Cleveland and it works great !! If you can afford it get the premium version so you don't have to hear the road announcers talk about our payroll all day on road games.
March 23, 201015 yr I was in the same situation as you MarlinInKY. I am an NC resident, also with an iphone. This is the first year i have gotten the package so i cant tell you to much about it. I bought At Bat last year and in my area, I get good audio. The video of the free games does alot of buffering unless your in a 3g area, which im not.
March 24, 201015 yr Yes MLB.TV is great from what I've heard. And if you have a 3G iPhone, man is the At Bat app sweet. I have the 3GS and from watching the free games offered, it's sick. Minimal, if any, lag and great video and sound quality. I just wish there were no local blackouts, cause I'd buy the package in a second. So many times last season I was wishing I could watch the game while I was i the car or at school etc. If being able to watch on the go is important to you, I'd totally for for MLB.TV.

March 24, 201015 yr Author Thanks guys for all the input. I'm out a lot, so being able to watch on-the-go is very important to me. Plus, I don't want to get DirecTV so extra innings isn't a very viable option for me. Yes MLB.TV is great from what I've heard. And if you have a 3G iPhone, man is the At Bat app sweet. If I'm reading this right, are you saying if I get the At Bat app and they MLB.TV subscription I"ll be able to watch games even if I'm not on a wifi? I also have the 3Gs. If I can't watch, can I at least listen to the games when I'm in a 3G coverage area or even normal coverage? Once again, thanks for all the great input.
March 24, 201015 yr Yeah, Like i said, I can still listen to the games fine without 3g. Videos are almost unwatchable without 3G due to video quality and how long it takes to buffer. With 3G, the games should play fine with audio and video. Wifi is no worries.
