November 16, 200322 yr Mike Piazza isn't talking to the media, but his father has denied reports that the catcher wants out of New York. According to Vince Piazza, Mike wants to stay at New York and wouldn't mind playing some first base. "I talked to him. He's more surprised than I am," Vince said of the reports of his son requesting a trade to an AL team. "He doesn't know where this is all coming from and how that got out there. He doesn't want to get involved with going back and forth. He's hoping all of this dies down." Mike Piazza is currently in Las Vegas, where he's begun his offseason workout regimen. Source: New York Post Do any of you know how much piazza is worth?,if he cost less than lee,he can play some 1st :shifty .
November 16, 200322 yr Piazza is: -To Expensive -Washed Up and i wouldnt feel comfortable having him play first, i dont know...just a gut feeling
November 16, 200322 yr First of all, if he wants out of New York it's mostly because of the move to 1st. He wants to keep catching and is willing to DH which is why the reports are he is interested in the AL. That said he wouldn't come to us to play first base. Secondly, he's making I believe 15 million each of the next 2 seasons. He's more expensive than Lee.
