Ronny Paulino C Surprised no one commented on Cody in the 2 hole yet. This is the lineup that I would like to see as well when we trot out Stanton. Cody and his career .325 .OBP in the 2 hole would not be a good idea. He belongs either in the middle of the order where he can drive in runs, or toward the bottom of the order. Basically, he belongs where he is, right now. I'd put Cody in the two hole over Sanchez at this point because I see Cody taking a better approaches at the plate this year and I think, as the season wears on, Cody will be getting on base at roughly the same rate as Gaby but with a better average and slugging percentage. I also see Gaby regressing some more from the point he is at right now. We'll see how it plays out, but that's the way I see it.

June 6, 201016 yr If it were up to me, I'd throw the kid right in the middle of the order and see what happens. He's up here to be a star, not to hit 6th or 7th. Put him right in the mix, see what happens. If you give Stanton some protection, force some pitchers to go right after him, he's going to hit immediately. If Stanton hits right off the bat, in turn he's going to create protection for whoever is in front of him. Having a 1-5 of Hanley, Stanton, Cantu, Coghlan, Uggla in no particular order is going to scare a lot of pitchers.
