beinfest takes responsibility for the bullpen, says it falls on him...also other players who aren't performing

classy guy

You could tell that when they asked about the Miggie trade it was tough for him. "Yeah we traded away a freaking stud and thought the guys we were getting would be good but I guess there's still hope." Can't imagine how it must have killed him knowing we couldn't afford Miggie that he had to trade him.

Wish he would have just said yeah Loria wanted Fredi gone.

so you think he was lieing when he said he came to the realization he had to make the move during the rangers series?

Well at least he has now admitted that he screwed that trade up and that it has messed with this team's future. We needed MLB ready or near ready guys and we got one that is not the player he was touted to be in Maybin and in Miller a guy who will never reach the majors again. You can't miss that badly when you have a talent like Cabrera to give away. You have to get at least ONE MLB player back.

he is a classy guy but Loria is the main motivation behind this move anyway.

just wish i could hear this right now, still stuck at work.

Hopefully this is a precursor to some other moves because we need some changes. A new coaching staff may improve things but it's not going to make that bunch of mediocre arms in our bullpen pitch good on a consistent basis.

I'm convinced the Cabrera trade will only get worse with time, as Cabrera wins some MVPs and probably ends up in the Hall barring a crazy career setback or injury

BTW Beinfest made a big deal of announcing they are following the MLB hiring/interviewing thing which explains why Loria and Valentine are probably staying as far apart as possible (wink wink nod nod)

No I believe him but I also feel Loria was the guys probably pushing the hardest for Fredi to go.

I am sure this was mainly a Loria inspired move. I doubt any baseball people would blame Fredi for not making the playoffs last season.

Hopefully they are staying as far apart as possible because Valentine isnt in consideration for the job.
