MrMarlinPride
Marlins Win 4-0 Josh Johnson dealt last night and kept that pesky Dodger offense on there heels all night long. Good job by the offense getting an early 4 run lead for Josh to work with and he showed 4 is more then enough support when he's on the mound. His ERA is now at 1.70 and his WHIP is at .96.... GIVE THAT MAN THE BALL IN THE ALL STAR GAME! Also another solid Job by Jose Veras! Josh Johnson: W(9-3) 8IP 6 H 0 R 8 K Jose Veras: 1 IP 0 H 0 R 2 K 2B: Ross(19) Uggla(16) HR: Stanton (4) RBI: Ross 1(45) Stanton 3 (19) Keep the winning going tonight in Arizona. yokofox33
Here's to hoping Stanton just needed some "home-cooking" to get his bat heated up. JJ is not human. And I don't think Veras is either because he's like a totally different person ever since he got called back up.

Marlins2003
I don't think even the most enthusiastic among us, and there are many, dare to consider exactly how good this young guy, this man-child, is going to be in years to come. I'm just in total awe of his talent. We should all bow at the altar of Tim McDonald for getting the kid signed as a Marlin.
gizmo
I'm really liking this new version of Veras. Oh and JJ is alright.

Marlins2003
I'm really liking this new version of Veras. Oh and JJ is alright. The guy to thank is Scott Mitchell, the pitching coach in NOLA who has been responsible for getting a number of guys back on track including Ricky Nolasco last season and the new and improved Veras we're seeing right now. The other thing is the great park they have in NOLA that I understand really simulates pitching in the bigs. The Marlins were portrayed in the media when they took over the team abandoned by the Mets as more beggars than choosers being one of the last MLB teams to contract that year for a AAA affiliate having themselves moved out of Albuquerque (thank god !) but it really looks like they hit a homerun with their choice.
