August 22, 201114 yr (somewhat) new RHCP single is stuck in my head.. only 2 more weeks! Really? I just heard it and I'm not all that impressed with it. It doesn't knock your socks off like other first singles such as Dani California and Californiacation. Maybe I have to hear it few more times before I like it. It sounds a little like "Snow". The video wasn't up to their usual standards either, especially for an opening single. I guess Dayton ad Ferris were busy. I don't even know why the hired a big name video director just to film a rooftop concert. I coulda done that. And you can definitely hear the void where John Fruscante's guitar is supposed to be.
