September 21, 201014 yr go AzFL then glad they aren't aligned with Mesa anymore .... wish they were back in peoria though (surprise would be great) ........ rumor the nats may try to get another exception and send bryce harper, that would be fun the list isn't as exciting as years past, but the games are always a great time ........ attendance is pretty brutal, but for $5 it's hard to beat watching some guys who'll be getting it done in the bigs next year playing on a nice 70-80 degree day
September 22, 201014 yr Lol it's not something I can necessarily control... I didnt start the topic. I just write it out... Arizona Fall League.
September 23, 201014 yr start a revolution! I'll do my part on the ground locally ....... although the league gets so little press out here I'm not sure the effort would even constitute grass roots and with attendance in the hundreds at the games it would be hard to really get anything riled up maybe if I attach it to a larger issue that the senior citizens who I chat with at these games care about it would take off .......... "did you know referring to the AzFL as the AFL creates confusion with not only the local arena football team, the Arizona Rattlers, but with the league as a whole ..... it may not seem like it, but this is the 1st in a long line of step to reducing medicare benefits and removing any COL adjustement to your social security"
September 24, 201014 yr Brilliant!  And I'll be one of those obnoxious people at the Universities passing out little flyers. Petition to call it the AzFL! Every time you call it the AFL a child cries! Oh snap it's a college campus...
September 24, 201014 yr We should of had this conversation a couple days ago .... i was promoting my company at a job fair at ASU ...... I could of pledged to only take resumes if they gave their allegiance to the AzFL terminology ................ then I could of muscled in between We Love Jesus crowd and the Legalize It troup and started tossing out flyers - i had a suit on, so you know they'd respect me
September 26, 201014 yr Oh definitely. Â We should run the next presidential campaign you and I. Genius.
September 26, 201014 yr Oh definitely.  We should run the next presidential campaign you and I. Genius.  It can't go worse than McCain/Palin :lol
September 27, 201014 yr Beautiful, and I say the first thing we do with our presidency is evict the New York Jets!!
October 13, 201014 yr Author It appears Marlins have made adjustments to AFL players as Kris Harvey and Sean West have replaced Jay Buente and Brad Stone. The season opened yesterday, Ozzie was 0 for 3 and Andrelczyk pitched to scoreless innings.
October 13, 201014 yr nice - West was pretty entertaining out here a couple years ago and i'm interested to see Harvey unfortunately, I looked at the schedule and the only time they play at my "local" stadiums is on weekdays - except for this saturday when I have about 3 conflicts phoenix muni doesn't have berm seating (which is key if I want to be able to attend more games when the presence of my 1 yr old is required ..... ability for her to crawl around and play on the grass is huge) so that leaves pretty much solo jaunts to phoenix munis or even longer drives to get to see them I guess it's better than being stationed in mesa like the last couple of years ... but not much wish they would be aligned with one of the peoria teams again
October 14, 201014 yr Author I guess Nats changed their mind: The Nationals have decided that outfielder Bryce Harper, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2010 First-Year Draft, will play for the Scottsdale Scorpions of the Arizona Fall League. He will report on Tuesday. Â Harper will be on the taxi squad, which means he will play twice per week. When he doesn't play, Harper will work on his swing and his skills in the outfield.
October 14, 201014 yr phoenix plays at scottsdale on a weekend .... hopefully harper is active for that game - looks like one I'll be able to attend
October 23, 201014 yr Can anyone tell me if a 3.0 WHIP any good? (Sean West) small sample size but still...

October 25, 201014 yr I remember a couple years back West was pitching in the rising stars game (or whatever it's called) out here .... he walked the first 23 batters to load up the bases and then struck out the next 3 to get out of the jam ..... followed by a kind of sarcastic curtain call .... i don't think anyone even made real contact off him was an interesting game - hanson started against phil hughes - hughes looked bad, but hanson looked amazing (i think I was raving about him here back then)
