Between games on Thursday, the Marlins reassigned four pitchers to Minor League camp. All four are lefties -- Brad Hand, Darin Downs, Dan Jennings and Rob Rasmussen.

 

The Marlins now have 59 players in camp after their first roster moves.

hand got his first 5 outs very efficiently today before giving up a 2-out 3 run home run.

 

rasmussen was not good today and i suspect we may see dan jennings at some point this year, hopefully for good reason and not becuase choate and dunn are struggling.

Wonder if Sean West will be joining them soon. He looked real smooth in his delivery, but couldn't find the strike zone much at all. Got alot of work to do.

 

You can bet James is also on that list.

 

Actually, the only pitcher that may make the Opening Day roster we sent to the mound in that second game Thursday was Richardson, and I would think that's an outside shot.

Hopefully Rasmussen will be somewhere in FLorida (Jupiter/Jacksonville), is Jennings suspension done?

That 2005 1st round is just fugly and even then wasnt the best strategy from an organizational standpoint.
