When I tried to update Dominguez's stats, I get an error telling me I can only have 5 lines of text on my sig.

 

I only have 4 lines of text and a picture. Am I missing something?

Your signature image is bigger than the allowed size. Restriction in place is 300 width by 300 height maximum. We had to add this in because of numerous complaints over excessive signature images. Once you change out the pic for one under the limit, you shouldn't have an issue.

Well I just tried it with no picture, and I got the same message. 4 lines, no picture = error.

It let me removed everything in my sig, but i can't add these lines back in:

So I can only have one URL? Bummer. And I want to update my picture but can't because width wise it's 200px too big *facepalm*

You can have up to 10 links. As for the image, just re-size it if possible. Need a limit to settle down the complaints.

Not to complain but numerous complaints about large sigs from who? I probably had the largest sig on the site (per usual) I personally think it should be 1 image and 5 lines of text "gizmo's" current sig is fine imo, it's not that large.

 

That being said I am going to test and see how much i can put under Mickey Mantis.

Gizmo's sig is fine, it fits into the new restrictions. By the way, as a VIP you are allowed a slightly larger image. 400x400 max instead of 300x300.

You can turn signatures back on by going to the bottom of the site and clicking "Change Theme" and then choosing "Sig"

That's odd. Are you trying to add more than 10 lines (the limit) to your sig? Keep in mind the image takes up a few lines itself. Are you copying and pasting the stats from a site, and therefore may contain HTML markup along with it? Possibly some reasons that could cause the message, although the msg itself is wrong (since you're not trying to add more than one image)

I still don't like this new restriction on images width wise, I completely understand height wise, but width wise is just too small.

Signatures are only viewable inside of the personal messenger. They have been removed from thread view, and it's been that way for weeks. 99% of reaction to the change has been positive as the board looks cleaner and runs better I've been told. I definitely agree with that.

 

I'll look into adjusting the restrictions since they are only inside PM's anyway.

Well, I'm throwing my opinion in on that, I don't like it, what's the point then? but let me add it's not my site so you run it the way you see fit, Admin.

I'll adjust my figures - 98% satisfaction rate on the change now. Sorry, I wish there was a way to make it perfect for everyone but I learned a while ago that it is just not possible.

 

I actually expected a lot more complaints about it and was surprised when instead I received compliments.

I also kind of miss signatures but the board runs way faster since they got got.
