I don't know how much the arguable MVP really affects a Cuban rookie. I'm not saying it's a huge effect. But, some teams probably held out hope they could lockdown CF next season/offseason. With Kemp off the market, those teams that expect to have a post-2012 hole in CF may have gotten just a bit more desperate.
