And for FOX's Saturday Game of the Week the Marlins are only scheduled to be aired 3 times for the whole year (in comparison, 10 other teams will be aired 7-9 times).

TBS is the latest network to leave the Marlins off its schedule of national broadcasts. Tuesday, the network announced its “Sunday MLB on TBS� slate for April and May. They Yankees, Rays and Red Sox all will appear three times. Even the Royals will be featured on May 6 — because they’re playing the Yankees.

The Marlins aren’t the only team that should feel slighted. The lone National League game during those first eight weeks is Braves at Cardinals on May 13. The only other NL team appearing is the Phillies in an interleague meeting with he Red Sox on May 20.

Earlier this year, ESPN released its Sunday Night Baseball schedule from April 8-July 15, with the exception of June 3-July 1. Ten games featuring 13 different teams have been locked in. No Marlins.

Fox’s Saturday Baseball Game of the Week schedule isn’t any kinder to the Marlins. Fox has access to multiple games per week that they air regionally. The three dates the Marlins are on the schedule: May 12 against the Mets, June 9 against the Rays and June 16 at the Rays. The last two Saturdays of the regular season are wild card dates, allowing Fox to choose games with postseason implications.

The Red Sox, Cubs, Yankees and Giants each will make the maximum nine appearances on FOX. The Rangers, Angels, Braves, and Mets and are scheduled to appear eight times, and the Cardinals and Phillies have seven Fox games apiece.

The Marlins will be on ESPN on April 4 against the Cardinals, the inaugural game at Marlins Park.

The marlins have a better overall win % and have won 2 world series (the reason for playing the game). They get TV time because of the division they play in.

 

Stanton wasn't overlooked last season so I don't see a reason why he would be this season. Especially with the Showtime reality show and the media magnet that is ozzie guillen.

You are ignoring the fact we haven't even made the playoffs since 2003 and finished in last place last season. The Rays have become pretty much a regular contender.

 

We are getting plenty of national attention. Just not televised games scheduled right now. That could change depending on how we do. The Phillies are still the team to beat in our division and the Braves are a close second. Besides, I could care in the least about nationally televised games.

Why would Stanton be on any list for the MVP? He is a beast and probably will eventually win an MVP (hopefully) but last year he did not deserve any consideration for the award.
