David f****** Ortiz

The FCC allowed the Jersey Shore to air for multiple years and that offended me way more than Ortiz using the f-word on national TV.

I love you now.

I've always f***ing loved you.

Whoops, I just offended a bunch of people.

Aw, shit, you done fucked up now!

Day game, kids in the crowd, kids watching on TV, national audience watching on news stations. Did anyone f-bomb while being interviewed or during a speech on national TV after 9/11? No. Why is there an excuse to do it now?

100% agree. Not the right place, not the right time. It's not about censorship or being able to say what you want when you want...it's about common courtesy and decency towards others.

By the way (I'm just curious), did Ortiz have any regrets about cursing in front of kids?

LOL....sometimes you Americans are fkin weird. The only country in the world that gets upset over tits and foul language.

...upset over tits and foul language.

In front of kids...yes.Their parents say it in front of them, too, I'm sure.

And who's more influential to a 6 year old, a baseball player or their parents?

Parents should be more influential without a doubt. And, and I agree, many parents swear in front of their kids. But many parents do not. All I'm saying is there is a time and place for everything and this was not the time nor the place.

If you guys think kids haven't heard cursing before, you're crazy. I taught middle school for 4 years and those kids cursed up a storm. And it wasn't just curse words. They said and wrote some really perverted, nasty, sexual stuff.

That rhymed.
