Ortiz f bombing on TV, including a few national stations (CNN, MLBN, ESPN) showing this when it happened, fans cheering, staying classy. I guess it's good to see nothing has changed in Boston, even after what happened.

What a scumbag though. Why don't people, including the FCC (the commish went to Harvard), have a problem with this?

Awesome. Nothing wrong with that.

Day game, kids in the crowd, kids watching on TV, national audience watching on news stations. Did anyone f-bomb while being interviewed or during a speech on national TV after 9/11? No. Why is there an excuse to do it now?

They'll learn to say it when they get older, too. Censorship is stupid.

I really hate that argument. No wonder we live in a society where people get killed because of freedom of speech.

Pretty sure no one has ever been killed for using the word "fuck," but ok.

f*** is probably the most used word in Boston. Source: My trip to visit Boston College and watching a Sox game at Fenway Park.

Well then I guess we can pretty much take it to the bank!

Obviously not the point but ok.

Seems like you're making a big deal about nothing.

Back in my day...

The FCC allowed the Jersey Shore to air for multiple years and that offended me way more than Ortiz using the f-word on national TV.

The FCC should cease to exist... That being said, people should be more courteous and conduct themselves in a manner that is family oriented when children are present. It shouldn't take a federal agency to make people be respectful.

People get too uptight over curse words.

In my mind, they're just words. They don't bother me. I do understand people with kids at the game being upset about it though....

Passion.....emotion..... Two things a lot of people claim Latins have in their lives to excess.

Doubt he went into that with a prepared speech, and doubt he thought much of it as it happened.

I approved of it, I know its not classy, but for someone who has that much passion for his city and its people he should be forgiven,

I love you now.

I've always fucking loved you.

Whoops, I just offended a bunch of people.
