June 15, 201412 yr http://mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20140614&content_id=79753802¬ebook_id=79810894&vkey=notebook_mia&c_id=mia As far as looking at new options, Redmond says "we're there". Good to see they aren't shying away from this. I would enjoy seeing Turner moved to middle relief and Wolf to long relief. DFA Slowey and send down someone, either Jennings or Hatcher I assume. Bring up Heaney and Flynn for the rotation.
June 15, 201412 yr Just do it, already. And while they're at it, there are about 6 other guys who need to go. I'm looking at you, Hech, Solano, Furcal and Mathis. And pick 2 of Hatcher/Jennings/Dunn. As far as I'm concerned, they could dump Turner, Wolf, Slowey, Hech, Solano, Mathis, Furcal, Hatcher, Jennings and Dunn. No matter who they replace them with, it can't be worse and it might be better. It's just tiring watching the same guys fail over and over again exactly when and where you expect them to fail. Time to bring up and/or trade for some new blood. 40% of this team doesn't belong on any MLB roster. Of course, next we get Kevin Gregg. That would bring the percentage up except that he'll replace someone else who also doesn't belong on an MLB roster. Time for wholesale changes if they expect to do anything other than play 500 ball (if that) for the rest of the year.
June 15, 201412 yr The team is already way beyond any expectations I had for them this year. The rotation needs a shake up, Turner if he can't be sent down needs moved to long relief. But they need to bring somebody up, Flynn, Heaney or both, hell at this point Sanabia! Not sure the team needs Wolf at all, certainly not in the rotation. As for the rest of the pitching staff, I see Slowey going when Gregg gets brought up, the bullpen has been overused, mainly by starts by pitchers not named Alvarez or Eovaldi, so their effectiveness will probably drop off in the second half of the season, so there is a possibility of some change, I think legally they're required to have a lefty in the pen, so they have to keep either Jennings of Dunn!
June 15, 201412 yr Is Turner out of options? Because if he's not, I'm not sure why anyone would want him in the bullpen.

June 15, 201412 yr Heaney and either flynn or desclafani need to be in the rotation already. Flynn has nothing left to prove in AAA. He hasn't been as good as last year but last year he was spectacular considering the league he was in. Desclafani should be in the bullpen too.
June 15, 201412 yr Author Heaney and either flynn or desclafani need to be in the rotation already. Flynn has nothing left to prove in AAA. He hasn't been as good as last year but last year he was spectacular considering the league he was in. Desclafani should be in the bullpen too. Flynn has done everything you could ask for in triple-A for a year and a half now. Not only do he and Heaney deserve the call up, but it would also balance the rotation with a few lefties. Wolf should be an improvement over Slowey, Turner should be an improvement over somebody in a relief role (he is out of options) and Gregg will probably be the equivalent to The crap we already have.
