July 1, 201412 yr Funny minor league year. NO and Jax have been hovering around .500, Jupiter is really bad, and Greensboro is really good.
July 1, 201412 yr Canha's had a solid year. Would like to see him get a call-up eventually. Could at least be platooning with Jones when .... eh what's the use.

July 1, 201412 yr I dont want Mark Canha starting at 3B for the Marlins. While he has played there sporadically in his MiLB career, IIRC, he isnt even very good at 1B with the glove.
July 2, 201412 yr I dont want Mark Canha starting at 3B for the Marlins. While he has played there sporadically in his MiLB career, IIRC, he isnt even very good at 1B with the glove. Well, if they trade McGehee, it's him or Zack Cox. That's it unless you count Ed Lucas.
July 2, 201412 yr Mark Canha is a bench/platoon bat at his best. Actually strike that, becoming Gaby Sanchez is best case scenario for Canha. That being said it's nice that Canha can play multiple positions and he's pretty much hit at every level of the minors. He's getting old prospect wise at this point but there's no reason to not get him a shot at a bench spot at the start of next season. I've said before he could be a nice breakout/surprise candidate, but it's important to be realistic with expectations when it comes to players like Canha.
