Michael
Shot ourselves in the foot leaving so many on base. Cishek sucks lately. Meh. :|
Guest Vince0926
Disappointed. Crap on me all you want, blame mcgehee and stanton and offensively, solano is lost. Yelich with no hits either. Ozuna cant be doing all the damn work.
Wild Card
Can't believe they pitched to Dickerson there. If the lead runner at second scores you lose anyway, makes zero sense to pitch him. None.

If he had saved that philly, arizona and todays game, we can be 6 over. Let that sink in.

enterthemadness
Yeah. Dunno if I can watch the game later today after this loss, but I know I be watching the Angels series. Will Wed game be only a Angels broadcast or just radio?
Edmeister
But seriously I don't know what it is with the last two marlin managers and realizing that their closers are done.. First Ozzie and Bell and now Redmond and Steve...
Guest Vince0926
I keep hoping this isnt some delusional bullshit that we are in this but this hurts. You come up huge in the ninth with a big break, then serve a moonshot. Not only that, but you struggle to even get out of the ninth. And fittingly enough, coming into this series, all i heard was stanton would hit one 500 feet. Yeah he got a cool cheap ass hit today for a run. But in the grand scheme of things, i mean, coastie pulled up the graph. And mcgehee, no. He is not "back".
canada-marlin24
You just cannot lose this game. You just cannot. When Cishek comes into the game now, my stomach turns and I never thought I would say that. 15 left on base and I have no fucking idea why Redmond did not walk Dickerson. I just dont fucking get it. There was nothing to lose by walking him besides a force out at any base and setting up the double play. Back to .500 on a night when the Giants lost and the Cardinals won. You just cannot do this. You would think after Hechavarria saved the game we could put it together but a playoff team would have won this game. There is no time left for this garbage. Cannot believe we lost this fucking game. Would have put us 3 out.
Michael
Why is it that, regardless of hitting coach, we have a problem getting hits with runners in scoring position? Every year for the last ... 5 years now? Ridiculous.

We have no hitting consistency from literally anyone.. maybe Yelich but he's the lead off batter so if he gets on base and no one gets him then it's worthless. I know we've never been a team to win with big deficits and most of our games are determined by just a pair of runs but in this day and age that won't cut it. I could put all the blame on Cishek, yeah, he blew the game... Again. However he had no reason pitching anyways. I lost all hope in him when he blew that game in Arizona. Failing to even get 1 out with a 2 run lead... Is it really that hard to manage a bullpen? THE GUY HAS 3.+ ERA, WTF. HE'S A DAMN CLOSER.. A closer is quite obvious. But why does it always have to be cishek. Just go with the hot hand? Clean up hitter - go with the hot hand, switch the line ups if need be. Why does everyone have to be placed in a job category.

When it comes to closers, the hot hand just never seems to work. Something has changed and they need to figure out what it is because you dont dominate like he did for so long and then just collapse. I was in a restaurant practically on hands and knees for Cishek to close it out but when I saw that home run I knew what we were in for. Control? Well damn i can say the same about mcgehee. And shit. An i reiterate maybe stanton needs glasses? I mean there are so many things we dont see in between the lines. Somebody mentioned above how a team can have a hitting coach and strand all these baserunners. Good point. I mean....WHAT THE FUCK IS THE POINT OF SPRING TRAINING THEN? The only reason I would ever assume that their must be one man to be a closer is because that will always be your go to guy. The one who will get the job done and send everyone home with a smile. This man must do the following. Get three outs. Without allowing a go ahead run. This is where we come in. Once your man fails to do his job. He's out. Fin. Finished. Hit the road. We fail to take the measures into adjusting, therefore we all go to bed, wake up tomorrow and are forced to watch: Must C Clutch: Dickerson game-tying moon shot. I get it. He grooved one in. I understand. But everytime he comes in, im scared. We all are i feel. However, though Cishek has really struggled, he had converted 11 straight saves. It was like he struggled for a little that time around the Arizona an Philadelphia games then turned it on again and now is really struggling. He has the stuff but also needs to work on his changeup. Tonight was such a big game, could have gone for the sweep and be 3 out looking to go 3 games over. This needs to have its foot on the gas or it will be over quick. I would like to guarantee that cishek will not be used for rest of the regular season. Enough is enough right? Well for all the crap i say about stanton, cishek is on my shit list too. And as far as adeiny goes, anyone that follows these charts and graphs and measures that instead of hoping we get a team win is out of their minds. Today i saw stanton fail, mcgehee fail, cishek fail, dunn get lucky, adeiny make an absolute tremendous play, and not enough jeff baker, who had three hits yesterday. I also saw an overworked dyson, who pitched awful for 2 straight days.

On top of that, a little fucking luck in the 11th inning wouldn't have hurt, buy neither would Cishek just getting 2 more outs. I can take losing but what I cannot take is pissing away the game. We have not been relevant for a long time and I do not want to go 11 years without making the playoffs. This team needs a streak, not 3-4 games, more like 7-8 games. But no matter what we do, we just cant seem to get away from .500.
