Five weeks of spring training and everyone forgets what was going on in January and early February? The locks in the rotation were Jose Chen and TK. After that it was Cosart who was "competing for a role" but clearly a front runner that the team wanted in the rotation unless he totally shit the bed. After that it was Conley and Nicolino but the team was clearly wanting them to both head to AAA for more starts unless either one flat out won a spot (as Conley is doing). So after that it was clearly Edwin Jackson in line to be the #5 starter, which is why he's been stretched out as a starter all spring.

 

Bottom line, if Conley didn't have the spring he's having, Jackson was gonna be in the rotation.

 

Don't even mention Hand Urena and Flores who were only making the rotation if the other guys' arms fell off.
