I almost prefer a loss sprinkled here and there, so it's not about the winning streak. We can keep winning without the pressure of keeping a streak alive

Ironic because I agree with his statement

You're right that it is just a loss and we been playing very good lately. But this seems like the 3rd game we have loss because of Breslow. Why because Mattingly seems to think this guy is a LOOGY. His numbers are actually better against RHB and his inherited runners is horrendous. Bearclaw was off tonight and that is fine, but I would rather lose with our best out there. Phelps was probably off limits anyways yesterday.

You just hate to lose games like this that is all. Phillies have shown that they can't hit for crap outside of Herrerra but that their pitching is pretty darn good right now.

Bad move by Mattingly, I soon as I saw Breslow come out the bullpen I was laughing in my seat. Because we knew pretty much knew the outcome. Granted it's a wash if Johnson doesn't drop the ball.

things happen, but good teams bounce back. and if the confidence is so high, then they should remain competitive and pull this out.

I know what you mean but this is borderline Preston esque... He'd say something like... "Losing is better than winning because the losses make the wins count for more, so it's better if the Marlins lose this game tonight."
