June 15, 20168 yr Spain wins the Euro and whoever wins between Mexico/Chile on Saturday will take the Copa. I want the US to win, but it's soccer, so yeah
June 17, 20168 yr As much as I enjoy your American sports, nothing beats the atmosphere that can be generated at a football (soccer) match.
June 18, 20168 yr Schnellykins, I suggest the next time you find yourself in Orlando, go to an Orlando City game. We've near matched your product (albeit at a third the size). MLS is alive and well.
June 18, 20168 yr Schnellykins, I suggest the next time you find yourself in Orlando, go to an Orlando City game. We've near matched your product (albeit at a third the size). MLS is alive and well. The MLS will definately have a better quality than our Scottish league. However the atmosphere of certain big games (i.e. Rangers vs Celtic) is something which can't be matched across the pond.
June 18, 20168 yr Sure not the very big games... but certainly worth a view of how noisy it'll get. The flags, the drums, the noise... it's getting bigger.
June 19, 20168 yr Sure not the very big games... but certainly worth a view of how noisy it'll get. The flags, the drums, the noise... it's getting bigger. The international stars are starting to come over more and more, hopefully that'll boost the popularity
June 19, 20168 yr Mexico Chile starting now, winner of that takes the cup. Argentina will choke again like last year.
June 19, 20168 yr The international stars are starting to come over more and more, hopefully that'll boost the popularity True however over here the ones that have gone (i.e. Lampard, Gerrard, Kaka, Pirlo and Villa) is viewed purely as a winding down, final big payday in their careers.
June 19, 20168 yr True however over here the ones that have gone (i.e. Lampard, Gerrard, Kaka, Pirlo and Villa) is viewed purely as a winding down, final big payday in their careers. What could possibly be better for an emerging league than players who are long established with well known names? This will sound odd to you, but names like Kaka or David Villa are probably better for the MLS than a Gareth Bale or a Pogba or what have you. Those guys already have fully developed careers with accolades out the wazoo, and a brand to carry with them. For the time being, it's branding that is doing such a good job at building these franchises. Sort of like David Beckham's tenure in LA. Did wonders for that franchise, even if he was washed up by then.
June 27, 20168 yr Messi and supposedly half the Argentina team seem set to quit international football.
June 28, 20168 yr Messi and supposedly half the Argentina team seem set to quit international football. Boo hoo. That team is full of babies.
July 2, 20168 yr Germany Italy today. Germany has never beaten Italy in a major tourney, should be a great game.
