This is an unconditional release and Cashman stated A-Rod could play elsewhere if he wanted to. Who thinks we've seen the last of him? I bet some team gives him a chance... probably the Marlins.

Cashman said if A-Rod wants to play elsewhere and gets an offer, he's welcome to do it. He can also change his mind on being an instructor anytime he wants Cashman said. The instructor job doesn't begin til next ST if it ever does. He's gonna go home to Miami after Friday's game he said.
