I'm down with a robot if the calls are called correctly. Foxtrax knows where the pitch crossed the plate INSTANTLY, I don't see how this would slow the game down.

I guess it could work. Cuts out a ton of the umpires job though. I'm sure they'd hate it. They'd basically just be there to tell the hitter the count

It would be cool if the umps had some type of Hololens alternate reality screen with foxtrax overlayed. I'd be totally cool with that. 

Even if they had some sort of device like that there's still room for error. If you want fool proof you'd have to take the ump completely out of he equation. Which is what I don't like. Ejections are fun to see especially in person and they'd become a lot more rare.

Yea it's sad for the umps and that part of the game would be missed but I'm so sick of all the missed calls, I think the game is way passed just accepting it as part of the game. squall exaggeratedly compared it to segregation but I'll give you a more realistic example. It's like when they left the dead ball era and stopped using the same ball for the entire game. I'm sure fans were outraged when a new baseball was brought into the game every few pitches but today it seems beyond stupid that this practice wasn't done for so long.

Trust me, you'll feel better when you don't see an ump for the entire game but suddenly in a crucial at bat in the seventh inning an ump runs out to music and fireworks just to eject someone. It's gonna be the best part of baseball.

They should have a K zone on the the Jumbotron so the ump can see how Hes calling the game and adjust accordingly. 

 

 

Last night felt like the end of the season so we're basically just watching to watch baseball at this point, which is fun.

 

 

Machines are better. Managers get mad because of the imperfections. Electronic strike zones are inevitable.

Even if that is true it's a lot harder to make that decision as a business rather than as just a fan.
