April 20, 20179 yr Marlins are 8-7 and 1.5 games out of first. During those 15 games, they have played 8 on the road and all came against playoff contenders. They took 2 of 3 in NY and dropped 2 of 3 in WAS and SEA. At home, they split a series with Atlanta and then took 3 of 4 from NY. They have been in almost every game and have a couple of blowout wins. The best team in baseball (BAL) is 9-4 or two games ahead. The best team in the NL is 9-5 (Washington) or 1.5 games ahead. The Marlins have won Player of the Week in both weeks thus far. Martin Prado has only played in two games so far. Can someone please explain to me why many here think they are doing so horribly and that this will be a "long season" and the season is already over? What did people expect them to do in the first 15 games with 13 coming against playoff contenders. Shouldn't everyone be happy about the current record and situation? I am just struggling to understand this. I actually agree. I'm just pissed we were promised a good bullpen and that hasn't panned out. Lost at least 3 games because of it. April 20, 20179 yr Oh that's an interesting story thanks for the opportunity to answer it. The wonderful user named squall PM'd me one day a couple months back and asked me to delete all his old posts and his account for personal reasons. Even though this required a great deal of work on my part (HOURS AND HOURS), I obliged and did it for him after confirming he really wanted it and wasn't just having a laugh. He then proceeded to go on our Instagram account and put down the site, in an effort to persuade new members from not joining. An odd thing to do after I so graciously handled his request. Since then he has used an alternate name to start a topic in this very forum where he stated I banned him and he @'d a whole bunch of people in it. Quite a lie considering I didn't in fact ban him. He requested his leave. Fucking prima donna bitch snowflake.

April 20, 20179 yr Real talk, I'm happy with how the season has started, but I know the front office/Mattingly won't realize how much better the team is without Hech around. Yes, the offense has been good without the positives of Prado, but it's also been without the negatives of Hech. The extent of Hech's awfulness goes well beyond just the 8 spot in the lineup. It makes pitchers pitch around the 7th hitter, treating him like an 8th, and it basically makes the lineup have two pitchers spots, which is less than ideal. Package that with Hech not really being any better defensively than Rojas, and you have a huge head scratcher as soon as Hech is activated from the DL and starts every day.
