May 14, 20179 yr A nice win. Haven't been many. Nicolino was solid and certainly showed improved velocity sitting at 91-92. They just need to use this as a stepping and begin moving forward and putting things together. Of course, they have the luxury of playing the astros next.
May 14, 20179 yr If baseball was only played on Sundays, our 5-1 record would look pretty nice in the standings.

May 14, 20179 yr Moore's homer: his first since September 20, 2015 as a National against the Marlins off Justin Nicolino.

May 14, 20179 yr The guy Mike Hill designated for assignment wins the game. Even when Hill wins, he still looks like a loser.

May 14, 20179 yr Author Moore is a first baseman and a left fielder. He is right handed. Since I haven't followed him and he has been out of the bigs for a year, any chance he can be a substitute for Ozuna and Bour?? (Although Bour is making strides with left handed pitchers.) Or is he just off the bench type of guy???
May 14, 20179 yr Canada-Marlin called this one a loss in the 6th inning. Good thing they played the whole 9! I'm glad they won. I didn't want to have to wear a brown paper bag over my head to the day game Wednesday. Tough to slam beers that way.
May 15, 20179 yr Nicolino hit 91 4-5 times but certainly wasn't sitting there. That's where he peaked fam. Threw a great change to Kemp otherwise was very lucky
May 15, 20179 yr Look at the Phi-Nats game. A former Marlin Jacob Turner still alive at Nats, and he just allowed a go-ahead run, lol. What a creepy Nats pen.

May 15, 20179 yr Nicolino hit 91 4-5 times but certainly wasn't sitting there. Pretty close. SNK averaged 90.5, the three F4s he threw averaged 91.8 and his FC averaged 88.18 according to Brooks.
May 15, 20179 yr For a second it looked like the Nationals would lose both games today. It's too bad they didn't.....the Marlins are RIGHT ON THEIR HEELS.
