July 4, 20179 yr Classic Marlins loss. They only had 2 fewer hits than their opponent but they scored 8 fewer runs. Just classic Marlins. If you're going to run Locke out every 5 days, rest your Stanton's and Ozuna's so they don't get hurt shagging batting practice out there for Locke.

July 4, 20179 yr Classic Marlins loss. They only had 2 fewer hits than their opponent but they scored 8 fewer runs. Just classic I don't agree with this. Well yeah I guess having plenty of hits but not enough runs to win is pretty common but being routed by 8 runs isn't very common for us.

July 4, 20179 yr Wait a second guys. We had 6 runs!! Maybe not home runs but we still were able to put up decent offense. Not saying there isn't a place for improvement. But six runs should win ANY GAME. The problem is STARTING PITCHING! Again STARTING PITCHING. We were behind 11-0 and yet started coming back. But how many teams can be that far in the hole time and time again and win? Name one. I don't feel we can blame the other people who were in the game for the problems unfortunately we are having with pitching. Mattingly made some statements that made it seem like Locke didn't care, lackadaisical. Obviously he knows better than me. And as a fan I sure don't want ANY ONE like that who isn't giving 105% 100% of the time. Welllllllll............maybe there is some or one who is the REAL PROBLEM and you can fill in this blank________________________________.

It’s result-based. You have to earn your way. In our situation, we have to find guys that are competitive, that will fight. The last thing we want is lackadaisical, kind of non-competitive outings.”
