January 11, 20197 yr Author Actually I was a little surprised on these situations. I don't know whole exact process but it seemed Jeter and FO made it smooth, not Loria's era's one. As a result, both FO and players will save their money and energy, unnecessarily. They made offers close to the player's offers and both sides negotiated peacefully it seems. Loria would go too cheap on his offers or would force a hearing over 30k. Definite difference here.
