July 3, 20224 yr Was taking a look at the numbers and Garrett Cooper has an insane .373 career BAbip. To put that into context, among players with at least 1000 PAs, that is 6th best in MLB history (according to fangraphs). The only thing more insane than that is that Jorge Alfaro has a .375 BAbip, good for 3rd best in MLB history.

July 3, 20224 yr Does it correlate at all with a high hard hit rate or a high line drive rate? I imagine dudes who tend to hit fly balls have lower BABIPs than guys who spray line drives around the field.
