It’s an old article) a radio announcer for a minor league baseball team. I guess he spells it like that since that is how it is pronounced and not pronounced as “Mc Key-on” but rather as “McKuhn”. Yeah, that article is confusing. 😂 From what I understand the correct spelling has always been spelled “McKeon” for both brothers it’s just the pronunciation is supposed to sound like “McKewn” when you say it out loud. So his brother Bill was the one who changed his name it to be spelled as McKuhn and Jack McKeon kept the original spelling of McKeon and wasn’t such a stickler about people pronouncing it wrong. Seems like a Jack thing to just shrug it off and say something like “I don’t care how they pronounce my last name, as long as they’re saying something good about it.” 😂 This kind of reminds me of a different forum I was on years ago and one of the mods had his full name as his profile name and his last name was Cockburn, which is a not super uncommon British last name apparently. He was always reminding and reiterating to us forum members “my last name is pronounced ‘Coburn’ like the actor James Coburn.” We were all like “sure, whatever you say Cockburn.” 😂😂😂😂😂 Edited May 23, 20233 yr by SirFishFan
