Arriola on with Hank at 5 to discuss OB

I still favor the eastern most satellite lot at PPS, between Dan marino dr and the Florida Turnpike. With it's access to 95 and the Turnpike its a natural.

If the location is so accessable as it is now and natural, why does no one show up? You can blame the rain to some extent, but not to the 9,000 people point!

okay, let me get this straight

the county will announce plans to build the stadium on a site that is awesome, but access is a problem

would somebody find an awesome site that is hard to access that we havent mentioned in miami? i know i cant

the "awesome" site is not in the city of miami. that's the whole point... it's elsewhere in miami dade county.

there has to be a ton of places along the beach that could be built upon.

Well how awesome could it be? And if access is a problem it is likely on the water.

Compared to some lousy stadium in NMB or somewhere up on the water, the OB site looks terrific.

personally, i just like the prospect of having something like a mccovey cove right outside the stadium. that would make marlins games much more appealing to everyone... although i would think that rain would be more of a problem next to the beach.

good thing it'll be covered.

What's on the old Interama site?

As I recall, it was up around NW 150 Street & the bay. FIU or FAU put something there, but there was a lot more land that I believe is still undeveloped.
