August 9Aug 9 I know everyone jokes that Sandy will eventually get traded, but everyone also knows the Marlins have no reason not to do everything they can to keep him.Miami was blessed to have him, and also blessed that he wanted to stay in Miami.Of course he's not the only one candidate to extend now but he's the one the most emergency and he's just different.
August 9Aug 9 this has been a particularly fun season to watch him kinda rediscover his frontline stuff. Closest back to the Cy Young version, possible we never see that level of domination from him again but this is enough, and for a change he's been getting fortunate in the W column which is always nice for the back of the baseball card.

Change up is back to being an elite pitch as well. I think with the new cutter the gains this year should be sustainable and long term. Extend him!
August 9Aug 9 Sandy's success is definitely not by chance. His attitude toward the game and his high standards for himself have made him who he is today. He is truly the best role model for young players.

Extend him!Unfortunately we all know that isn't going to happen and he'll be moved before that for a large quantity of A and AA projects guys with theoretical high upside.And that's my optimistic take.
