May 2, 200323 yr *IMO The cubs are waiting for Lowell to get on the market and are using Shea Hillenbrand to drive down the price on Lowell. "So you can expect that he will be getting in touch in the next couple weeks with the Florida Marlins to assess their interest in trading third baseman Mike Lowell and talking once again with Boston Red Sox general manager Theo Epstein to determine if he is willing to part with third baseman Shea Hillenbrand and for what price." http://www.suntimes.com/output/cubs/cst-sp...pt-kiley27.html

May 3, 200323 yr better take at least two of their top 5 prospects then. lowell is the best third sacker in the national league right now.

May 3, 200323 yr well the way Shea been hitting since the season started i hope the trade happens cuz Lowell yes he is hitting bu he not getting the big hits when we need them with RISP! He will start hitting with RISP. He is known for hitting for RISP. The hits will come when he starts adjusting after like 6 months of not hitting. I dont agree with trading lowell but Shea is hitting good and is very cheap o it would be good for the Marlins. I hope we dont trade him but we will leave it to the management and see what Shea does for us....
