January 13, 200422 yr Rockies signed RHP Vladimir Nunez to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training. Now this is the type of player the Rockies should be signing. Nunez, Florida's closer for part of 2002, should rebound from a disastrous 2003 and re-emerge as a quality setup man. It might not happen right away, but expect him to help the Rockies. c/o rotoworld Now I don't get to see him throw it to the backstop in Albuquerque anymore
January 13, 200422 yr I heard that the Rockies were in negotiations with Nunez and also with a batting tee. The tee was holding out for too much money, so they decided to go with Nunez.
January 13, 200422 yr Cute! Let's hope the Rockies wait until we come into town to call him up. We'll have a field day.
