Although Helling might still be useful as a middle reliever, he's no longer capable of helping a quality team as a starting pitcher. His mother and 2 sisters live in the Twin Cities. And he's building a house in the area. According to the Mpls.Star Tribune, if Rick makes the team, he will have a base salary of $600,000 with another $600,000 in incentives.
