Marlins outfielder Miguel Cabrera has dropped Scott Boras as his agent after little more than six months and returned to the firm of Reich, Katz and Landis. Cabrera's contract was renewed for $320,000 this week.

lol Cabs knew better then to become one of Boras victims :D

This is the best news I've heard in weeks. Good job Cabs.

It wasn't really Boras's fault for Cabrera getting a small raise. The Marlins own his rights and could basically give him whatever they wanted to. Boras had little to no negotiating power. If he did he'd would've tried to get Cabs 12 mil a year starting now.

Good thing maybe now we have a chance to lock him up long-term when arbtration(sp?) comes up for him in a couple seasons.

THIS IS REALLLLLLY GOOD NEWS

I was pretty pissed off after finding out that Cabs' agent was Borass yesterday.

I think he was looking at a 2 year ... in the 12-15 million range

:lol

his family helps him make business choices, like signing with the Marlins to get to the Majors quicker and deciding to do Winter Ball this year.
