  1. Mine was today, DFA. Daddy Dix power rating moves to -35, down two points.
  2. May as well do Pensacola since they can't hit either: .200 #10 Marsee .241 .234 #26 Mack .185 $6 Berry .294 .191 #11 Martorella .197 .204 .195 The rest are not likely to ever make the MLB roster. Two prospects are hurt right now and that's it. Beloit is pretty much empty as far as bats and Jacksonville has 3 players who will probably make an impact at some point. The Baby Fish have some lotto tickets but the cupboard is completely empty, barren, non-existent on the hitting side. This is not acceptable!
  3. Marlins hitting prospects in Jupiter by ranking: #9 Alderman .118 BA #18 Vradenburg .194 BA #21 Cruz .157 BA I know batting average isn't the be-all end-all but come on people how is this ok?
  4. Colby Shade, 9th round pick out of Oregon. First year in pro ball and has 31 steals. Decidedly not a prospect.
  5. Marsee and Martorella haven't exactly been lighting Pensacola on fire either. Go is in AAA. This surgery does not sound good. Dix's power rating goes down, to -33, out of 10.
  6. The hits just keep on coming. Played just five games in the organization. Hip surgery with a bunch of medical terms that I only understood impingement. Disappointing, but hope he recovers well.
  7. Starting lineup today's game batting averages: .289 .235 .245 .194 .118 .157 .197 .106 .120 Ridiculous. Molding future Marlins today. Hammer heads? more like hammer my head against the wall.
  8. The next computer generated player to come up is probably Angel Macuare. Another total washout who has never had one decent season with the Astros organization and we pick him up and he's having some short-term positive variance in the minors. I'm sure Peter Brady is going to look at his numbers and start him over Max Meyer in the future and he'll get absolutely shelled because he sucks. Bookmark this and bet against him when he gets the call.
  9. Yes Conine was autocorrect. I was out to dinner. I honestly don't think he'll be able to hit MLB pitching but he's out there busting his ass and putting up numbers only for never-wases and has-beens to block his chance. Troy Johnston, MILB POY, hey go back to AAA again while the shell of Josh Bell takes up valuable oxygen. Calling guys like Bride, Gray, Edwards, Dane Myers up only to sit them on the bench while shit-on-a-stick guys like Tim Anderson, Brujan, and God knows what else we trot out there like that random Emmanuel Rivera or whatever his name is. Arias, Soriano (Maybe?) Max Meyer, Maldonado, Monteverde, Go instead of the random computer generated older guys Tyler, SMith, Smeltzer, Ramirez, etc. etc. I get punting the season but why not see what you got with youngsters over journeymen. How much service time do we save? And that's not even mentioning the guys we have traded away for 30 to 35 year old middle relievers who could one day be solid major leaguers. Marcus Johnson, Erick Lara, Ronald Hernandez, Byron Chourio, Dylan Beavers (supplmental pick) , Marco Vargas and on and on. note: Khalil Watson still sucks). If and when Sandy and Eury come back we have as good a rotation as anyone even if we traded away a couple starters. And the next wave of pitchers is just two or three years away (Noble, T. White, Miller, Milbrandt, etc.). We still don't have jack-diddly as far as hitting or defense though. Also, we aren't getting squat for Tim Anderson, Bell, Avi. Probably Luzardo if he's hurt and our best trade able assets are Jizzy Chizzy and Tanner Scott. Get me a bat, a catcher that can hit .200, a decent glove man with some pop. FFS, fix it. Rant two over.
  10. Munoz is still young but if u could point to any stat that says he's actually good you can get a show replacing Copperfield in Vegas. Doesn't exist
  11. That's a helluva message to send to the other minor Leaguers grinding away putting up numbers and being passed up for trash like this. Gotta really motivate guys like combine, bride, gray, mesa, sanoja, max meyermaldonado. Lindgren. Montevetde (they royally hung him out to dry), Banfield, devera. You know everyone that's busted there ass to get passed over by generic make believe no name never was players. Oh Xavier Edwards, thankfully we have tim fin Anderson playing ahead of him and sanoja. Rant over
  12. Burch Smith Shaun Anderson Kent Emmanuel That guy named Tyler, can't remember, John Tyler, doesn't matter. These are just made up names. MLB the show computer rookies. We will soon clone Steve Stevens, Alan Jones, Bill Johnson etc. Even our names are boring. Well, except for Huascar Brazoban.
  13. 17k's to a mediocre rookie and the worst lineup in MLB in a long time. We have Tim Anderson leading off folks. If this isn't rock bottom, we are getting pretty near. Tim F'in Anderson leading off. Prove us wrong Timmay. Goes 0-4 4k's. I'm crying like Nancy Kerrigan on my couch, WHY ME WHYWHYWHY?
  14. Marlins legend Shawn Anderson starting the night. Last seen getting run out of the Korean league. Really hard to riot for this team. Maybe we can change the team name to the Miami masochists
  15. Yeah, I really have no idea why Burch Smith is on the team. He is a 34 year old soft-tossing righty who has never been any good. What exactly is the point of him pitching for us?
  16. Chargois was great the first month of last year but hasn't been completely healthy since. Declan Cronin is way too fancy a name for baseball. He should be fighting someone in medieval times or something.
  17. I feel like every time JT Chargois comes in they should have Austin Powers introduce him. Now pitching Jay Tee SHAG-wa, baby.
  18. I'm going to give him an incomplete until we see what the haul is for Lizard-Glass-Tanner. But journeyman middle relievers and infielders with no pop seem to be our specialty this year. Can't say it has inspired any confidence.
  19. Thanks. I kind of missed a few days of transactions. I just don't get the point of rolling out sad TA out there, but then again that entire infield is pretty brutal. Rivera-Anderson-Otto Man Empire- and Burger at first. Yuck.
  20. I've seen enough of Braxton that I would be OK if we traded him for a decent package. Also, is Xavier Edwards still in the majors? It is really hard to justify playing Tim Anderson over him and about 42 other guys.
  21. Now ta please, let's move on
  22. They officially released him. Best release I've had in years.
  23. He's a 21-yr old batting .315 in AAA with an .848 OPS and getting comparisons to Jose Altuve. Who else exactly in the Marlins organization should I be obsessed by because it's not Otto Lopez and it's certainly not Tim Anderson.
  24. Winter is coming! First the x man returns, then soon the sanoja will come down in Miami. Really hope these two can stick as our spine in the middle of the infield. Both guys make contact and are young and controllable. Sanoja's stock keeps rising
  25. nice job by bullpen at least.
