Ridiculous.  Molding future Marlins today.

Hammer heads? more like hammer my head against the wall.

Little Dix is salivating over that lineup.

Not sure what you're talking about.....that looks like a perfectly normal Marlins lineup to me....

Who’s hitting 289?

Colby Shade, 9th round pick out of Oregon.  First year in pro ball and has 31 steals.  Decidedly not a prospect.

Marlins hitting prospects in Jupiter by ranking:

#9 Alderman  .118 BA

#18 Vradenburg .194 BA

#21 Cruz .157 BA

I know batting average isn't the be-all end-all but come on people how is this ok?

May as well do Pensacola since they can't hit either:

.200  #10 Marsee

.241

.234 #26 Mack

.185 $6 Berry

.294

.191 #11 Martorella

.197

.204

.195

The rest are not likely to ever make the MLB roster.

Two prospects are hurt right now and that's it.  Beloit is pretty much empty as far as bats and Jacksonville has 3 players who will probably make an impact at some point.

The Baby Fish have some lotto tickets but the cupboard is completely empty, barren, non-existent on the hitting side.

This is not acceptable!

I had the opportunity to watch them a couple of times this season, there was absolutely no one on the roster that impressed me.

Alderman was out with injury when I saw them earlier, so I have no frame of reference on him, but thus far nothing too outstanding, Vradenburg appears as if he could develop, and I saw some pop out of DiSpigna but they both appear to be Adam Dunn type hitters where the strikeouts will be plentiful.

Welcome the baseball in 2024. That's like half the hitters now.

Dunn knew how to work the count and get a walk though at least if memory serves correct? I think he had a solid obp?

He did, career .364 OBP and it was around .400 for the first half of his career.

see, that there's the key to making the all of nothing approach actually a viable tactic.  unfortunately, at some point, it became ok to have a .205 avg with a .285obp as long as you could hit 25+hr

The farm that Jeter/Ng built. Gonna take years of better drafting/international signings to fix this unfortunately.
