ANSWERS 1) What Marlin clocked what coach in the face & for what reason? Derek Dietrich/ Tino Martinez. This matter was already explained. 2) What Marlin was rewarded a gift (necklace) from Loria and for what accomplishment? Hanley - .342 necklace when he won the batting title. 3) What player requested a trade after a fire sale? My answer was Realmuto but I’ll accept Yelich & Stanton. 4) What band was used for Heath Bells entrance as a closer? Like rmc523, I thought Bell’s entrance song was AC/DC HBells but that belonged to Hoffman in SD so I was wrong. Piazza31 will get credit until proven otherwise with his answer Gotye - Somebody that we used to know. 5)What Marlin celebrated winning the World Series by rapping freestyle during their parade? JP and Dontrelle is correct. I think JP was the top dawg of the two.

That’s not going to stop the Jazz faithful from posting their one sided posts next year though. Wait and see.

I asked Michael permission to post back on the Jazz Tracker even though it’s not closed but he hasn’t responded yet.

Soler traded to Angels
Your brain is wired a different way my friend.

Soler traded to Angels
Imagine if Bendix waited for the sake of not losing a career 5 ERA pitcher while losing out on a player that hit 48, 36, 27, & 21 HRS in a six year span. The 4 teams in 3 seasons is misleading on the premise of trying to imply that Solar only fits in with a few teams or something. If a postseason team picks him up next year you should be able to know by now what that entails. Maybe I might be the only one who thinks Solar would have been a good fit this year for our ball club. That’s the only reason why I’m responding to why you think the Angels are stupid .

Soler traded to Angels
Contract wise as a free agent, Solar is making league average per year. I don’t think the trade was stupid. What would you have them do? Worse case, they can trade Solar for prospects at the deadline. Before you mention Ohtani you should examine and ask yourself this first. Would the Cardinals be stupid if they sold their future for one player? Albert Puljos would probably say YES!!!

I also wonder if Ng wouldn’t of felt the need to trade JJBleday for Puk if Vesia wasn’t traded. She put us back a year or two just in these trades alone I think in years to come, Ng’s biggest mistake will be trading Bleday. Why not package J Sanchez for Puk instead? I’m asking permission to post on the Jazz tracker thread? The season is officially over and I’d like to clear the air and settle some scores with Jazz’s playoff numbers and his public guarantee that the Yankees would win the WS.

Soler traded to Angels
Braves must be having a fire sale and Bendix isn’t serious about winning this year.

Didn’t she trade Alex Vesia as well?

Yeah he had some guns too. You mentioned Josh Johnson & Joe Girardi. What’s your opinion on that?

Maybe there wasn’t a punch thrown after all but what I remembered from my thoughts after hearing the news that Dietrich punched Tony (I thought) was this. 1 Dietrich is going to get cut & 2 I’m surprised Tony didn’t kill Dietrich because Tony IMO was a roider. I also felt a sense of disappointment for Dietrich that it would be the beginning of the end as he was already having ups & downs on becoming a big leaguer. Reading up on it after your post it sounds like the details stayed in house only. So who really knows how ugly it got.

Close enough. Who punched him?

Question #1 was an assistant coach. I do believe he was fired shortly after the incident.

I have often tried to find an Olsen reference in my head but I can’t. He had that attitude about him.

Im sure you’re right. I had one player stick out more because I thought he had the most advantage with free agency looming. I do remember Yelich now that you mentioned it.

Fortunately I don’t have the impression that anyone has cheated so far. It’s evident that we have some really knowledgeable fans. Everyones been honest based on my detection meter.

My questions usually consist of odd ball memories so flaws are to be expected. Thanks for all your love and support.

Hi guys!!! Scores: 4-5 Not bad 1) The nickname “Hammer” was given to what Marlin? Josh Willingham 2) Looking for the most awkward batting stance in franchise history? Craig Counscell 3) What Marlin lost his bat on his backswing and was caught by the opposing catcher? Chuck Carr 4) Need the last names of these BACKUP catchers. SCOTT, JOHN, GREGG, MIKE. (I had these players but you guys added some I didn’t know) Scott Cousins, John Baker, Gregg Zaun, Mike Redmond, 5) Name the starting pitcher not traded following the 1997 season? Alex Fernandez baby.. tore his rotator cuff on purpose so he could retire a marlin…. although Tony Saunders was selected in the expansion draft and Livan Hernandez hung around until 1999. So there were 3… Fernandez Retired, Hernandez 1999 Trade and Saunders 1998 expansin draft. This is correct.- Fredi Gonzalez
