  1. Talking about Jazz is like ringing the dinner bell for Polly. He already closed one thread down with his sensational appetite.
  2. 1, 3 & 5 need answers. I’ll post results in a couple days.
  3. Unfortunately that dude would rather watch Jazz over Tony Gwynn….Why? Because the propagation of sports is athletes over craft, entertainment over purity & variety over substance. Scoring on errors with the base bag moved in isn't fun it’s sloppy.
  4. Question 4 is my fault.. I’ll edit it again
  5. The 5th question is a bit blurry because I’m not 100% sure either. You also proved me wrong on the prescription glasses because I knew of only one & it wasn’t Nate Robertson. I’ll go back & edit.
  6. All Marlins Trivia Pursuit #3 Rule Change: If you know the player(s) but don’t know the spelling or the full name, you can look it up. If you know an event but don’t know the player it’s not allowed. Good Luck!! 1. What Marlin was or wanted to be a hairstylist/barber? 2. Name the 4 infield team that set HR records of 20 or more for the first time in history? Who was the last player of the 4 to cement this record? 3. What Marlin was receiving national spotlight for his handsome eyebrows? 4. What Marlin expansion player wore prescription glasses while playing? 5. Sampson admittedly said that Jose Fernandez was nearly traded for what player(s) & what team partner?
  7. So true. That’s why I thought my answer was decent because he was so dominant. I was surprised when I checked his stats he only closed for 4 yrs. I really thought he had 250-300 saves😬
  8. All scores are now final. Pls don’t take the roast personal it’s part of the game. SUMMARY: @Michael went hog wild going 4-5 making a daisy out of a doozy. Roasting this hog isn’t necessary when you have teammates like Hovertical. @SirFishFanyou don’t have to worry about zombies, their after brains big guy. (Long explanation coming). @hovertical someone found your phone, and this was in your pictures. CRYBABY!! BOX SCORE: 4-5 ANSWERS: 1. No need 2. Kurt Abbott (shortstop) 3. Kevin Millar I believe coined the phrase “Cowboy Up” during his WS run with the REDSOX. 4. Scott Cousins. A lot was going on here from what I remember. Posey shattered his knee, a new rule was added, Posey demanded an apology Cousins gave him one, the Fish had a nice record then it all fell apart. It was the 2011 season. 5. Casey McGee ran to his aid. I have a lot of feelings about what happened that day. The wink CaseyMcGehee gave to Fiers is one of them. I’m a bit busy, but I’ll try & post a new trivia shortly. If someone wants to post theirs be my guest.
  9. Yeah, looking at stats, he was only a reliever/closer for 4 yrs anyway so I was way off.
  10. Ok guys, Mike Lowrey just broke the game. Just post wether or not you knew the answers. Question 2 wasn’t answered so let’s go 5-5.
  11. All Marlins Trivia Game 2 You know the rules. Good luck guys, this one’s a doozy. 1) How many no hitters have been thrown in team history, names included? 2) What Marlin player was allergic to grass? 3) What Marlin coined the phrase “Cowboy Up” sometime in their career? 4)What player collided with Buster Posey resulting in a new rule change? 5) The pitch that broke Stanton’s face, what historical date (debatable) was it and who was the first teammate to rush to his aid?
  12. The roasting is for laughs but I thought it necessary by provoking some competitive competition and draw some more players in 😆 I know you are very knowledgeable, more than I. I’ll try and level the playing field with all eras.
  13. Why wait any longer. Round 2 will be posted after this completion. SUMMARY: This sad fan base scored pretty low as a collective unit. The brainiac of the bunch was Piazza31 with 2 correct answers, (WOW). But I had to shrug Piazza off like a pitcher with his sitcom antics. The hardest question answered was by Hovertical, a great guess for someone who peeks into other phones that don’t belong to him. SilverBullet, more like RustBullet and SirFishFan did a lot of talkin and not a lot of walkin. On a serious note you guys did ok. BOX SCORE: 3 out of 5 ANSWERS: 1) Bryan Harvey. Braves needed a closer but the Marlins declined thinking team chemistry with Harvey’s leadership was the right move. Ouch!! You can YouTube it “Miami Marlins A great beginning”. It’s 60 min but better than watching marlins baseball. 2) Cliff Floyd broke his arm when he extended it past the first base line on an errand throw to first. The runner ran through the arm and it snapped & broke. All these questions/answers are from memory I didn’t look them up. If I remember his arm was nearly severed in half. 3) Andres Galaraga I looked up the distance it was originally 573ft and then changed 529ft. 4) Matt Mantei I also thought they said this guy was the next great closer. Looks are deceiving. 5) Charlie Hough I only remember this gizzard because he looked like an old farmer from Iowa Round 2 will be posted shortly. @SilverBullet @hovertical @SirFishFan @Piazza31
  14. It’s sad what’s become of Rogers. Three yrs ago he had a Dontrelle Willis type season but now he’s in shambles. They could convert Trev as a bullpen specialist, slow things down and work him back up. The trade was lopsided but the Arraez trade was more so even if he was a rental. I’m not on the Bendix bandwagon yet. I’d wait and see what he does with Luzardo & Sandy. Sandy will be on a pitch count next year with ups & downs and probably wont reach his potential value until the 2026 trade deadline. Retaining some players will go a long way in putting trust back into this stock market/farm system culture we’ve been under.
  15. I’ll give the answer & the reason why the fish decided to pass in a couple days
  16. Benfixed it.!!
  17. Supposedly Jazz used this same excuse for his arbitration hearing. They denied his appeal stating that salary is based on stats.
  18. I didn’t, LOL
  19. He has 110 more AB this year with only 5 more steals than last year which is the same or worse. 35 steals in a year is garbage when X Edwards was on pace for 50 steals in as many AB (462) as Jazz has right now His BB rate has gone up just a pinch, call it career high but again, X Edwards was on pace for 60 walks in as many ABs (462) Jazz is currently is at 43. Jazz stats are consistent across the board and don’t measure up based on talent & transitional growth projections.
