For Griffin Canning

Off-season has begun!

Braves must be having a fire sale and Bendix isn’t serious about winning this year.

Are the Angels stupid?

Contract wise as a free agent, Solar is making league average per year. I don’t think the trade was stupid. What would you have them do? Worse case, they can trade Solar for prospects at the deadline.

Before you mention Ohtani you should examine and ask yourself this first. Would the Cardinals be stupid if they sold their future for one player? Albert Puljos would probably say YES!!!

I was going to roast you for spelling Albert Pujols name wrong but after doing some research I realized that a lot of people online spell it incorrectly. I can see where the confusion comes from. Probably easy to remember if you think that’s it’s pronounced like “poo holes” instead of “Pull Hoes” (I’m talking about the garden tool).

They also gave up a useful piece to acquire him which you completely ignore. We can argue on the level of usefulness that Griffin is, and thats fine and dandy.

As far what they SHOULD have done. Not acquire Jorge Soler would be the first thing I’d have done, especially not on day 1 of the offseason. Let the market play out and see what free agent would be available around that same price point and not cost you a player. Also I struggle to see why you would be beating down the door to acquire a guy on day 1 that is average at best and basically cannot play defense. Maybe Perry is trying to knee cap himself from day 1 from a change as opposed to waiting til a little later in the winter.

Also you are not trading Jorge Soler for ‘prospects’ There is a reason why Jorge is on his 4th team in 3 years now.

Imagine if Bendix waited for the sake of not losing a career 5 ERA pitcher while losing out on a player that hit 48, 36, 27, & 21 HRS in a six year span.

The 4 teams in 3 seasons is misleading on the premise of trying to imply that Solar only fits in with a few teams or something. If a postseason team picks him up next year you should be able to know by now what that entails.

Maybe I might be the only one who thinks Solar would have been a good fit this year for our ball club. That’s the only reason why I’m responding to why you think the Angels are stupid .

Sources: Angels add ex-Cubs RHP Hendricks

Free agent pitcher Kyle Hendricks has agreed to a one year, $2.5 million contract with the Los Angeles Angels, sources familiar with the situation told ESPN.

Are the Angels fucking retarded?

I think their track record over the last….what 10+ years have shown that yes….yes, they are.
