That might come in handy if intentional walks weren't automatic now and the the intentional walk process was started with 2 strikes already in the count and and the pitcher threw one of the i-walk pitches too close to the strike zone. Is there any other situation when it might come in handy? Trying to delay a game to get a rainout win?

I'm very curious to know. I remember last season alot more balls were wrongly called strikes than vice-versa, so it's probably like that so far this season and the ABS will probably help batters more than pitchers. The article doesn't mention the 5th reviewed pitch. I guess eventually the umpires will adjust their strike zone accordingly. It'll be interesting to see how the ABS system effects the balance of power. Right now it's a pitchers league. I guess it always is a pitcher's league, but it's been more so than usual in recent years. Is it possible that the umpires will be so embarrassed by so many overturned calls that they'll go on strike over it?🤣
