  1. Survivor: Cook Islands began filming on June 26. It will also be an Exile Island season. Mabdul, I know you posted it a while ago but why would you rather not have another Survivor All-Stars edition? That one is probably my second favorite season (although I'm still bitter that coattail Amber won). 1) I enjoyed All-Stars for the first two episodes or so because it was cool seeing all the old players grouped together like that. However, I think even that novelty will not be there for a 2nd edition. 2) Because they vote off all the winners and the biggest threats early in the game, leaving only the mentally deficient players. Look who was on the jury last time: Lex - probably the worst player in Survivor history Big Tom - obviously a big mound of stupid Kathy - the only jury member with half a brain Alicia - bleh, lucky just to be there; never more than a pawn Shii Ann - once again, bleh Rupert - no clue how to play the game Jenna L - bleh All 4 of the previous winners, and also Rob C, had been voted off by the jury stage. Watching Rob and Amber bludgeon people with their stupid sticks was not terribly exciting. The only saving grace was that I like Rob and Amber. 3) The players don't care as much. They're been through it all before. They're already making money off of their Survivor fame. There's no novelty to the whole thing. You had 2 people quit, even. 4) And this is perhaps the most damaging - all the players know each other. They're all doing the same Survivor tours and events and all that jazz. Former Survivors are like a second family. And so they bring all that personal history into the gane, stuff that we never get to see. There's so much going on behind the scenes that really shouldn't be part of the game. Probst has said he had a lot of trouble getting Survivors on opposing tribes to stop talking to each other during challenges. The whole thing feels like a summer camp, or just some kind of exhibition. Great points. To this day, I still laugh everytime I think about Lex saying that the game is life and that it represents who you are. Big Tom is pretty stupid. I've always liked Shii Ann for some reason. Only thing I didn't like about her was her self proclaimed Shii Devil crap. To be fair, the two that left (Jenna M and Sue) had pretty good reasons to quit. Jenna's mom was dieing and she wanted to be by her mother's side when she passed away. Sue basically got molested by Hatch although she was laughing about it a couple days later when talking to the media. At the time, I really liked Rob & Amber but I couldn't stand them afterwards. They were EVERYWHERE. CBS did a 2 hour special on their wedding and they were even on The Amazing Race (they were so f***ing mean). I also never understood why Amber was considered an All-Star. She wasn't that popular and her stay wasn't very long in Australia.
  2. When will the new season start airing on TV? Second week of September.

  4. I thought Uggla was on the lineup since the way you made this thread title. This is Holly were talking about. She puts emphasis on everything.
  5. Batman Begins slightly over Superman Returns. Sin City is not a superhero movie. No list? Shocker. I'd have to go with Spider-Man all around.

Paypal is fused together with eBay. I don't think GBuy can ever get to that level. I agree with Buckeye. It might be a great product. Heck, it might even be better. I liked using Google Talk but there was simply not many people using it. I will forever be stuck with AIM or in my case, Trillian.
  7. j-i-n-x Marlins will overcome it... hopefully
  8. He's more than a whole person. He's a person plus 6 inches. :lol You know, the article doesn't mention the size of it. I'm taking a wild guess. It all looks like 6 inches to me. Women have very poor depth perception. I hope your husband doesn't read the boards. :whistle
  9. I agree with all of the above and he has received notice from others...I have heard the people of ESPN say the Yankees and A's, etc. should take notes from Beinfeist. That's a slap in the face to Billy Bean. :lol
  10. I have to go with Nip/Tuck all the way. Original shows include: The Shield Rescue Me Thief 30 Days Nip/Tuck It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Over There (canceled) Black. White.
  11. The pickle lady was cracking me up. I kinda felt bad laughing, but I couldn't help myself. If she doesn't like their shape, does that mean she's also afraid of.... :shifty cucumbers?
  12. The rumblings, whispers and rumors are now over -- Keith Richards is officially onboard for a role in Pirates of the Caribbean 3. According to director Gore Verbinski himself, Richards will make an appearance in the third installment, albeit a small one. While Verbinski did not confirm who or what Richards would be playing, we all assume the character will be related in some way to Captain Jack Sparrow. Seeing as Johnny Depp used Richards as his inspiration behind Sparrow, it would be fitting if the Rolling Stones guitarist played Father Sparrow. I'm sure a script will leak online at some point so, until then, we're playing the waiting game.
  13. I'm a bit skeptical but I'll give this series a try. The 2-Hour series premiere is Wednesday the 28th at 10 on Spike TV.
  14. Are these actually real? Most likely :mischief Production doesn't start until this November. But then again, they could be real. :mischief2 I guess we'll have to wait for the teaser trailer to come out in about a year.
  15. I can't help but laugh everytime I see that picture. I guess that's why some people opposed Jack's Joker in Burton's Batman '89.
  16. Something else to ponder... the Marlins outscored the Yankees 11-8 in the series (12-8, if you count Saturday's run). Should had won the first game though. This might hurt our wildcard shot. Do you know what the 2003 Marlins record was after 72 games? Well it was 34-38. This year's Marlins team is 32-40. :mischief Oh and the '03 team didn't even play the Boston Massacre game yet.... This game never happened. :evil
  17. It's a plant. and we all know that plants contribute nothing to this planet...
  18. Out of curiosity, what's special event is going to happen on 8/4/07? (your sig) Marriage Does Dodge know yet? :confused Anyways, congrats!
  19. Harriet was believed to be the world's oldest living tortoise, and one of its oldest living creatures What the hell is older than a tortoise? :mischief2 Trees. There are some trees out there that are more than 200 years old. I know trees are older, but trees aren't creatures! Then what the hell is it?

  21. Check out Dead Like Me. It's pretty good. Per a web search, it is going to be shown on Sci-Fi channel July 18th. Ill probably catch it then. I don't think you should invest in watching The Sopranos. It's already nearing the end of its run and the DVDs are not exactly cheap. I say go for Deadwood (it's also ending soon but only 2 dvd box sets are out and it's a great show). 24 24 24!! I definately think you should check out The 4400 over at USA. I think you'd like it. It's got this X-Men meets The Twilight Zone vibe to it. Pretty good. I feel you on the Sopranos. A couple of my friends back in Texas have some of the sets, so I'd probably go that route. 24 is good, but I must admit it got really damn monotonous after a while. How sci-fi is the 4400? I did look into that recently, btw. Thanks for the early input. 24's worst season, imo, was Season 2. Just watch S3 and you'll fall in love all over again. The 4400 is 100% Sci-Fi with some family drama mixed in. I really don't want to give any plot details though. But the story starts with a 'comet' heading straight to Earth and all nations start shooting missles at it ineffectively. It crashes in a forest/lake in the USA. Police, investigators, news vans and local residents enter the forest to check out what it was. It was 4400 clueless people, not knowing where they came from, from all over the world. and that is just the beginning... How about Entourage? Isn't that more of a comedy? wait nvm he also said HBO series

  23. Must be feel great to be KR in this film. I can hear the director telling him to "Just be you, Keith".
  24. Freezing on mb.com? Wow we've got the least reasons to make a site freeze. I meant the MacBook froze. Don't know why you're being defensive, or should you be? :mischief
